Good product. This is my third camera from Moultrie. This one has the built in solar panel which made it so much easier to install than having to add a solar panel. The battery also comes with it and that's easier too. Getting connected to Moultrie app and system worked out well too. It's a little more expensive than some other apps but I think it is worth it. This camera was an all-around disappointment. There is no way of checking the battery life on demand. The battery arrived already old. There’s no way to connect with Bluetooth to check to see if it’s being adequately charged by the solar power. And it only checks in once per day. I had to leave it installed two hours away from me thinking that everything was fine. Only to find out the next day that had absolutely no charge and could not charge itself, even if it wanted to. Skip this model and go for a type of camera that you can actually actively connect to on site to make sure that it’s working. ... show more

I gradually got up to four cameras. That's when the multi camera bundle discount happens. Love being able to get footage on demand and see health status remotely. They never ran out of battery and work in all weather conditions.

Cons: 1. The app only provides a single still image preview of movies it captures. You can not tell if an animal would appear in other parts of the movie. Other trail cams provide 5 frame gif previews which give a better sense of whether the camera captured anything. 2. The solar panel is small and must be placed in direct sun or you'll lose charge, limiting placement. Other brands have bigger panels and can be placed in mostly shade. Pros: 1. The camera triggers even with distant animals. 2. Muddying video compression artifacts are a bit less than other brands. 3. Reliability.
