Its a hit or miss on what cars this will and will not read. When it does work it works very well. When it doesn't then I have to look for another reader or bop it to get it to read the car.

    • Great for self diagnosis of engine codes
This device has saved us money already by being able to self check engine error codes on our vehicles. Simple solutions are uncovered that we can solve by ourselves and then bigger issues allow us to understand an issue before bringing the car to a mechanic.

    • Would be great if it worked properly
It is cheap, and surprisingly fast. Good buttons and screen. Allows firmware updates via internet, so there is hope for the future. But it does not work properly, even after updating firmware. Their support email in the FAQ on this page is wrong. Bounced back to me. For example, the I/M (monitor readiness check, needed prior to a smog check) button is great - that it exists. Great idea. But the problem is the info it shows on the screen is wrong. It shows two different states for one of my cars - like two different answers to the same question. One of the answers was right, as confirmed with a better scanner. But ... ... show more

    • mine stopped working after using it 3 times
I bought this for personal use and it seemed great when I first received it, but after about the 3rd time using it, it stopped working when testing O2 banks. I get a "FAILED" across the screen with no info. It is not that it failed my emission test, it just failed to work in this mode. I sent an email a couple weeks ago and I have not heard back. As of not i'd say AVOID this item for two reason. 1) the product doesn't last, 2) so far customer support is awful. I will keep you posted. IF I don't reply back to this review that means MOTOPOWER still hasn't got back to me. UPDATE : 1/18/2024 HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT STAY AWAY !!!!! i'VE SENT NUMEROUS EMAILS DIRECTLY TO MOTOPOWER, AND THROUGH THEIR WEBSITE, AND I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED ANY KIND OF REPLY !!!!!! ... show more
