Installability wasn’t toooo bad, but the screw heads for the screws that protrude forward and hold the lamp in place are positioned precisely at the same radius as the electrical box that is screwed to the house, causing the screw head to not sit flat. Why? Didn’t the designers for this lamp ever install one and notice that they specified the screw holes to be in the same location as a a standard electrical box? Also, there is no motion sensitivy selector. So you are stuck with some engineer’s idea of what the right sensitivity is. And this engineer must be super paranoid because these lights go on a hundred times a night. Every moth that flies by and every shrub that moves in the breeze will trigger this thing. My neighbors aren’t happy with me right now. Lastly, the on-off-on wall switch technique that is supposed to change the dusk-to-Dawn feature on or off is not intuitive. And the English-as-a-second-language person who wrote or translated the instructions could have taken an extra 5 minutes to explain and illustrate this better. ... show more

    • Still figuring out what to do
I got them today and installed them. But the problem is I installed them both side by side on either side of my front door and they cancel each other out. When one lights up the other thinks it's day time and doesn't light up. The only time they both work at the same time is when there is motion.

    • Works Exactly as Advertised!
Rarely can we say a product operates just the way the promotional info claimed. It was fairly simple to install. It detects motion up to 40 feet away but most often detects motion at 25 to 30 feet. It reverts back to the 30% level in about two minutes after motion ends. The light has been installed for about 6 weeks. Yes, on some nights, wind blowing the shrubbery and neighborhood animals have been detected. We are using a 16 watt Feit brand Classic Filament Design LED dimmable bulb. The low light is equal to a 30 to 40 watt bulb. The bright light equal to an old Edison 100 watt bulb. Because of the yellow filament and the amber color bulb, this light attracts fewer bugs than our old light. And the glass shade is large enough for an adult hand to wash the inside glass when that time comes. ... show more

We now have one for each outside light. The motion sensor works great, bright light and easy to install. I like that there is more options, it can be on all the time or set up as on only when there is motion.

We installed these but only one of them goes to that dull light at night when there is no movement. The other ones goes off completely. Too difficult to take down and return so I’ll just love with it

The light comes on at dusk at 30% bright and when there is motion, the light changes to 100%! No adjustments on the light required, they are done internally by the light! Be sure to purchase a dimmable bulb (100 watt maximum).
