I purchased this for my little one as he has a budding interest. It was affordable and not much more than a toy version which you cannot tune and is usually made of cheaper materials. I have tuned it up for him and played a test song, and it has better resonance than my own ukulele! I kind of wish it was for me :) Iโ€™m very pleased with the quality, itโ€™s beautiful and slightly smaller than my own. Just right for a little guy just starting out, and I doubt heโ€™ll outgrow it as it is a nice soprano. ... show more

    • Hard to keep tuned

Although I was willing to deal with how easily it became untuned, it came with a booklet that literally mentioned it as a con so I wasn't planning to, as a beginner with any instrument, deal with it due to how little I know about how an instruments supposed to sound. It really did come untuned every five minutes or so. High quality bag and ukulele, came with everything that was described (extra strings, beginners book, strap, tuner). Has no problems staying in tune which is a big plus at this price range.

    • Great Beginner Ukulele!

I purchased this to use as a loaner for my students. It surpassed my expectations for build quality, playability, and tone. Obviously this won't compete with instruments costing $200, but for less than $50 this is impressive. I wish I had started on an instrument this good.
