Most rails are stationary and make it hard to either get in or out of the bed. I had no place to attach ours so I purchased a piece of flat plastic material about 1/2” thick from Home Depot, fastened it to it and slid the plastic under the mattress. This bed rail is not real sturdy and should not be used to pull one’s self up. Also not sturdy enough for a real heavy person. But works well to let one know they are at the edge of the bed.

Slide it up for sleeping. Slide it down when you get up. Make your bed like nothing there. This rail is sturdy. Easy installation. Had it now for 6 months, love it.

This folding bed rail is amazing and was easy to install. Once I put it together I easily slid it under my dad's mattress and it stays in place. I can easily put it up and down. My dad's bed raises up and down and the rail is not effected. It is a plus for seniors who try getting out of bed when no one is in the room with them. This rail has given me great comfort in knowing that my dad is safe and not wondering around unaccompanied. Worth every penny.

My husband has been bedbound for years and I needed a bed railing as he has fallen out of bed several times…this is a low end product…the nuts and bolts won’t stay tightened…does not stay put…continually works loose and wobbles when opening and closing…paint chipped…I meant to post this after all the problems kept happening…but I was so overwhelmed with the caregiver tasks that I could not make time.. I was so disappointed…he even fell out of bed after I installed this
