I bought this to cover a window in a door. I have bought these before (from a different store) and love the ease of installation. Nothing wrong with the product. These are easy to install, work really well and an excellent value for the money. If you have priced a new door with this type of window (blinds inside the window) you know they cost upwards of $400 - 500. However.... When you buy a house (or even rent one) and you want to install one of these you MUST look for this one item. If there are screw holes where the frame of the window in the door is attached, you can use this. Sometimes there are little plastic covers over the screw holes (there are usually about 3 on each side). You have to be able to loosen those screws on the sides and top in order for this to work. Well, for some reason the past occupant of the house super-glued those little plastic covers into those screw holes. We didn't notice this until it came time to install this product. We couldn't even drill them out without really gouging and possibly ruining the frame itself. Make sure to check that those little plastic covers are removable. We ended up taking this product to Habitat for Humanity. ... show more

    • WOW! We LOVE these blinds!
There aren’t enough words to describe these amazing blinds. We have an 18-month-old who is into everything he can reach, and we knew ordinary blinds would be torn down or damaged in no time flat. We had a representative from Lowe’s come and give us an estimate on the original “between-the-windows” blinds and the cost was going to be astronomical because it would involve major reconstruction He recommended these as an alternative and we were skeptical but decided to try them. We are SO happy we did! They were very easy to install and boy do they work! And our mile-a-minute toddler can’t get to them because they’re behind the glass. We ordered them for 2 more doors and if we had more doors we’d order for those too. If you’re on the fence with these, wait no longer! They are simply fantastic. ... show more

On a framed window, I simply unscrewed 4 screws from the frame to allow a small opening for the brackets to slide into, tightened the screws, hung the window. It took all of 10 minutes. The blind frame is plastic, so pretty lightweight and didn't need help lifting it. This was perfect for my cabin door. If it was for my house, I'd probably look for a wood option because it's pretty obviously made from plastic, but the blinds work smoothly and it will keep direct sun from coming in. ... show more
