I needed a new LED desk lamp. Let's check out this one by MOOKCCOS. (+) Quality materials and manufacturing. Foldable, tiltable, light in matte aluminum housing looks modern and durable. Plug in power (USB-C to USB-A cable with power block included) that I prefer over USB charged desk lamps. 5 light intensity and 5 color settings. The highest setting is extremely bright. Touch sensitive controls with sliding bar for intensity. Includes nightlight and 60min. timer functions. Exceeds my desktop lighting requirements. Reasonably priced at $19.99 (Nov. 11, 2023). Slight miscues: The nightlights are on the sides of the lamp base and has 3 settings (left, right, or both) but the color and intensity can't be adjusted. Timer should have more options, e.g., 15min, 30min, 45min, etc.

This is a great home office desk lamp. It's very easy to use, it has touch buttons and a touch bar to change lighting modes. It has 5 light settings from dim yellowish to bright white. The light itself swivels left to right and can move up and down. Overall this is a great desk lamp for your home office or even at the office. It's nice lightweight and the style is a nice a addition to my desk. One downfall and this is why I gave it 4* instead of 5* is it's not rechargeable.

I have been using this black MOOKCCOS Desk Lamp for several months now and in general I'm happy with it. The controls are fairly easy to use although there have been a few times where something on my desk has changed the brightness when it touched or rolled/slid across the touch slider. I found the lamp to be not quite bright enough by itself so I ended up using two desk lamps, which might be a better solution than getting a super bright lamp because I've noticed that those tend to get pretty hot and sometime even untouchably hot, whereas the head of this lamp only gets slightly warm even when running at full brightness. The construction of the desk lamp doesn't look cheap although the individual LEDs are visible when looking at the lamp from below. I definitely liked all the hinges that you can use to adjust the position and angle of the lighting head, I've seen expensive desk lamps with less mobility in how you position the light. The extra USB port on the back of the lamp is nicely hidden out of the way and while it is only a rather anemic 5V/1A (according to the User Manual) it can at least provide enough power to run a USB desk fan even if you're not going to be doing high-speed phone charging on that port. This is ultimately a consequence of using a typical 5V/3A (15W) USB power supply, so perhaps a future upgrade will use a 5V/4.5A power supply and have 2.5A left over for the USB port on the back of the lamp. I was tempted to try the lamp with a 5V/4.5A (22.5W) QC power supply but I didn't want to try that without consulting with the seller or manufacturer. Since this lamp runs from a USB input and only theoretically requires about 5V/2A for itself (the remaining 1A that the 5V/3A power adapter should be able to deliver going to the additional USB port on the back of the lamp) and actually uses less, that means you can easily run this lamp off of a USB battery bank if you want to. I connected the black lamp's USB power cord to a USB tester and then to the lamp and measured the Voltage, Current, and Watts at full brightness on each of the 5 color options. As you might expect the intermediate color settings that use more of the LEDs do draw more power. Here's what I measured: OFF -------- 5.18-5.21V 0A 0W , I measured the voltage with the lamp disconnected to see what the USB power supply could produce Warm ------- 4.73V 1.37A 6.50W Mid-Warm -- 4.72V 1.40A 6.61W Mid ---------- 4.70V 1.45A 6.85W Mid-White -- 4.79V 1.22A 5.83W <-- sometimes I could get 4.72V 1.40A 6.61W White ------- 4.73V 1.38A 6.52W Oddly enough the readings for the Mid-Warm and Mid-White (colors 2 and 4 if arranged from warm to white) seemed to give me different results and sometimes it seemed to be based on how quickly I cycled through the other colors to that one, but in any event I think I can say that this lamp is using somewhere in the range of 6-7W.

Likes: sleek design, light but not so light that it is not stable, touch-buttons, 5 different types of lighting from white to warm-yellow, dimmable-to bright lighting, there's a timer for 1 hr., easy plug-in to your computer or wall (b/c of the USB-A end and adapter), can charge 1 device with its USB-A port, versatile positioning because the base can lay low to 90 degrees, and the main lamp can light brightly with both 'flaps' positioned together or spread side to side for wider lighting, night lights at the base can be turned on one at a time or kept on together, futuristic overall. Dislikes: could be brighter at its brightest setting, but is sufficient. Cost: $29.99 is fair for this versatile lamp.

This is a must have for any desk space without great alternative lighting. This lamp’s different color modes and dimmability is great for working or reading late at night so you don’t burn your eyes out. The brightness is another great aspect of this lamp as when you need it too it can be SUPER bright. The adjustability is also awesome. I can keep the lamp tucked away at the back of my desk until I need it and then immediately bring it out to use it. The one minor issue I have with this lamp is that it can be a little difficult to adjust the brightness, especially the first couple of times because it takes a very gentle touch to accurately manipulate the dimmer switch.
