Plugged it in to get it warmed up and started. Never started with the bubbles. Left it on for 24 hrs. Never left the top of the bottle. My child was so disappointed. I will not buy from this store again. UPDATE on blue lamp. I was contacted by the seller. Very nicely asked a few questions and told me they would send me another lamp. I was surprised but happy for my child. I received it in just a few days and plugged it in. It looked different inside from the first one I received. Had a spring looking thing at the bottom. After a few hours it started to work. I was so excited. It worked for 48 hours or so and now I can’t get it going again. I had purchased 2 originally and my other one is working great. So yes. I have one child happy and the other wondering why his doesn’t work. I have no idea. However I am adding this additional review because the customer service is/was very good. I treated both lamps the same so I am completely confused as to why the blue lamp doesn’t want to work. BUT THANK YOU to the seller. I would definitely recommend this seller. He really did try to make my purchase correct. Sorry this is so long ... show more

I wouldn’t say I use this lava lamp often, but when I do it takes about 30 minutes to heat up and then it works great. I have used the charger part so I can’t comment on that, but otherwise it’s a good product.

It is a lava lamp (liquid motion lamp) with silver base and lid, and pink wax in purple liquid. It works by means of a bulb on the base that heats the wax, decreasing its density and making it float. Upon reaching the top, the wax cools, becomes denser and falls again, repeating the cycle. This continuous movement and colours create a soothing and hypnotic visual effect. I remember having something similar to this years and years ago as a kid so I was really excited to see that they're not gone. The 3-hour mode is honestly really nice because I just know I would end up falling asleep and leaving it on for way too long. I first ran it last night and didn't really get much of a result but after around 2 hours tonight it's just fascinating to watch. That looks as good as any videos of lava lamps I've ever seen. My one concern was that the base plate feels loose as if it's not attached, so maybe plugging things into it would be an issue but once it's set in place it's not a real problem. ... show more
