This alarm clock is perfect for my 8 year old. I am trying to teach responsibility and he is using this clock to wake himself up in the morning. I had him to read the directions and set up the clock on his own. Everything was easy to understand and he set it up in a few minutes. The alarm will wake up deep sleepers with no problem. It is not only a alarm clock but it produces sound for deep sleeping. It has a modern look and functions as it should. It also gives more information like temp and humidity. I’ve tried to contact the seller via Amazon messages to ask a question about set up, but never received a response. I had to pause during the set up and cannot get back to the beginning of the set up mode so it’s stuck with the wrong date and time displayed.

I love the clock, but the date was incorrectly set and it wasn’t obvious from the instructions how to change it. I figured out that the the button on the right enables you to go back and change whatever you want. They need a much better instruction manual. However, the biggest flaw is the lack of a battery back up, which means if this gets unplugged, the clock has no power. If it had a battery back up, I think it would be a five star. But if the battery doesn’t matter, it does seem to work well.
