I have had this for a year and a half and last night it was -1 here and the air coming out of my unit is hot thats for sure. I also have a 3 ton Ruud whole house heat pump that I don't use at all anymore. The heating with that unit (Ruud) is the weakest I have ever seen for a heat pump and its a new unit,well it was installed in 2021. The Aux keeps coming on the air that comes out on heat setting is maybe 80 if that. Thats why I bought this Mini-split, I really was not expecting much but it was on sale so I took a chance.Ever sense I have installed it myself it runs 24hours a day 7 a week no issues at all. I am almost positive its made by Midea, but as cheap as this thing is I would just replace the whole thing instead of fixing anything,thats another reason I am not using the main system. The other one (Home main system) only lasted 6 years and thats it and ch-ching 8900 bucks for a ruud that does not heat and was told that using Aux and 400 dollar power bills is normal. Sorry my old Gibson unit had no problems heating it just did not last long. I paid like 700 for this Mollie and if I get at least 4 years I will be happy and just keep the Rheem turned off and covered up outside. Hvac has become a racket I think , My Dad just spent 41,849 bucks on two units for his house and I was quoted 6,000 bucks just to install that Mini split.
