There were no directions for set up but it was fairly easy to put together. The biggest complaint my wife had was the baskets don't fit as nicely as she would have hoped. It is on the smaller side, but works great to hold candy, individual snack packs or a few fruit. The shelving part is a little unsteady so you need to be careful how much you put into it.     • Great as an oversized crabbing net.
I have been using this pier net as a crab net, and it works well. The bigger diameter and depth give me more time before the crabs run out as I'm pulling up the net. I use a shower curtain hook to attach a cleaned, fish backbone to the middle of the trap. There is a bit of resistance pulling up the net from ten feet down, but the size of the net and it's depth offset that by making it take longer for the crabs to reach the edge of the net. travels almost perfectly flat. but when fishing from a bridge, I can't count how many times ive lost a fish trying to lift it by the hook. This allows me to lower the net and use the rod to guide the fish in and lift with the net. No more lost fish

I don’t know on the listing they talk about how sturdy it is. I think it’s a little flimsy. I feel you gotta add weight to the bottom of the net itself so that it will spread out and you can get your fishing and then hoist it up it should work. We’ll see. If you hook into a big fish from a pier or bridge, how do you bring it up? Hauling up the line is almost guaranteed to break the line and lose the fish and your tackle. This net is generously sized and comes with enough rope for most situations. Lower the net and guide the fish into it, then pull it up! If you do catch and release, free the fish of the hook and lower the catch back down into the water. I did have some trouble refolding the net enough to store into the supplied bag, but I’ll figure that out. Overall, I’m happy with this net! ... show more
