  • GREAT CAMERAS!
Color: With 2.8-12mm Varifocal HD Lens
I have three of these that I use to record multi-camera zoom meetings for various non-profit organizations. They work flawlessly. They provide excellent footage in low light conditions. They are small and lightweight so they can be mounted easily from ceilings and on bookcases in out of the way places. I am quite happy with these cameras. ... show more

  • Great Camera
Color: With 2.8-12mm Varifocal HD Lens
I love that this camera has its own built in menu! Just press the button and you can change the settings just like on a professional camera. I’m using it to display on a monitor and the horizontal mirroring option is a game changer! I also replaced the lens with a Tamron telephoto lens with an adapter. You can also use a 5v - 12v DC cord with a male USB for connecting the power to a TV monitor. ... show more

  • Small, cheap, clean HDMI output, but impossible to focus. Use as fixed camera!
Color: With 2.8-12mm Varifocal HD Lens
I purchased these to use with a Blackmagic ATEM Pro in a streaming application, along with some of those clever smart clamps. I was pretty immediately impressed with how good they were, despite being so dinky. They're good, sharp, bright cameras with good color. The screw mount on top and bottom allows for some more creative mounting possibilities. There's a full electronic menu of configurations that I haven't even bothered to delve into, yet. The downside is the lens they ship with. It is actually a pretty good lens, but they're underselling how 'varifocal' they are. They are so far away from parfocal, it is maddening. When you change the zoom at ALL, the focus is completely disrupted. Then, when you focus, it appears to subtly change the zoom. This makes actually framing a shot with any precision nigh impossible. Add to it that the focus ring is SUPER sensitive. If you brush against it, it's gonna move and you're going to lose your focus. That said, the lens handles are also their set-screw. So, once you DO get an image locked in, you can carefully lock down the lens so it can't move. Because of this, I think these are best used a fixed-cameras. Put them up, away from the talent, set them up, and hope to never touch them again. Do not use these in a portable rig. I would have preferred pigtailed cables instead of hard sockets, since I think the HDMI jack is going to end up being a reliability problem in the long-run. Protect them from torque as best you can. The power supply cable is somewhat disturbingly thin, and just a tiny bit too short. Fortunately, they appear to be pretty standard security camera voltages and pinouts, so you'll be able to modify parts as needed. (Someone needs to build some HDMI+power hydra cables!) I don't think these replace a good DSLR or purpose-built camcorder, but as a sky-cam or wide-shot camera to fill in the extra inputs, I don't think they can be beat, especially not at their price. ... show more

  • Great Security Camera
Color: With 2.8-12mm Varifocal HD Lens
I mounted two of them in a church for distance conferences. The picture on my feed is good (not network broadcast quality but acceptable). For a budget install it works. I sorta wish the budget was bigger for a better image camera but, for the price and use, it's great.

  • Very good camera for the money
Color: With 2.8-12mm Varifocal HD Lens
The camera is versatile and look good for the money. BE AWARE THAT THERE ARE 3 ADJUSTMENTS ON THE LENS NOT JUST 2. THE FRONT AND REAR ARE FOCUS AND ZOOM. THERE IS A MIDDLE RING TO ADJUST THE IRIS. SOME PEOPLE COMPLAIN THAT THE CAMERA IS TOO DIM OR BRIGHT BECAUSE THE MIDDLE RING (IRIS) HAS NOT BEEN ADJUSTED ... show more

  • Winner!
Color: With 2.8-12mm Varifocal HD Lens
This is a nice little camera - in fact, it's so nice that I'm back to buy a second one. I've got my first one happily outputting 1080p30 over a 15ft HDMI cable into a Magewell quad-HDMI capture card. I've found nothing to complain about, and I'm particularly happy about the real optical zoom/focus/aperture adjustments the lens provides. ... show more

  • Camera lasted 4 months for me, then KAPUT
Color: With 2.8-12mm Varifocal HD Lens
I was very pleased after receiving this camera. Exactly what I needed: compact, great lens and color rendering, HDMI output. It worked just a month past a 90 day warranty period. In the last week, it developed a vertical vertical line 10 pixels wide for about a few hours, and then it stopped working. While I can see and operate the menu (including trying factory resets), the actual video from the camera sensors has not shown on the HDMI output. I"ve tried different monitors, and several power resets. No joy. It seems to be dead after serving well for several months. I only used it for five projects, each taking about 2 days. I was in the middle of a sixth, and that is when it stopped. I was using this camera to track the position of a lathe tool by being held above a piece of wood to ensure even wall thickness. There is only a little vibration that the camera is subjected to, and I thought it minimal. So my caution to other buyers is that perhaps this camera is not ready to take any vibration, and may have a longer life affixed to a solid mount. While it was working, it got 5 stars. Since it died only 4 months later, I give it only 2, assuming that if I had mounted on a ceiling, it would have worked longer. ... show more
