  • It's a Moen. You can't go wrong.
Color: Stainless Style: Standard
When our 20 year old Moen kitchen faucet became hard to repair, I didn't hesitate to replace it with this Moen faucet. It installed in about 1/2 hour, [man I'm an old guy and hate laying on my back under a kitchen sink], and works great. It has a great finish and a classy look with great spray head features and function. I didn't spring for a water on sensor function cause that takes batteries and I'm just old school. If I want water, I just pull the handle. The only thing I didn't like and can't change is the way the control handle points straight up for hot water and pulls forward for cold. It's evidently a safety feature to stop kids from burning themselves if they reach up to turn on the water. They're more apt to pull the arm forward for cold. You can buy a more expensive faucet but you can't beat a Moen for warranty and function. ... show more

  • I LOVE This Faucet!
Color: Oil Rubbed Bronze Style: Standard
I absolutely love this faucet! The pull out hose is great for cleaning fruits and vegetables, washing dishes and cleaning the sink! When you switch from stream to spray, you can adjust how hard the spray is and you can move the faucet head to be as close or as far away as you need it to be. (Keep in mind that the switch from stream to spray is regulated by water pressure. So, you can't turn the water down to a trickle and expect the spray to stay on.) You can have it turned on pretty low though. We have to turn ours on about 1/4" of the way to full open before we can get the spray to stay on. But that is just about perfect for the spray pressure when you want it soft, and it works great! It is very easy to install, looks great, and works great! The reflex works wonderfully. If you need the pull out extension to be short for a single basin sink or long for a deep well double basin sink, it works either way. You decide how long you want it to be. The faucet comes with a weight that you simply clip on the pull out hose under the sink, which determines how far you can pull the faucet out and how far back it reflexes. The only caution I have for you on this is that if your sink plumbing is a mess, like mine, the hose and weight will hang up on it. If you don't fix it, this will render the faucet extension useless. There is an easy fix though! We simply used an old piece of cheap poster board and some painters tape to make a channel along the back wall of the sink cabinet for the weighted hose to slide up and down. By containing it in the makeshift channel, it can't hang up on the other plumbing and it works amazingly. My only other caution is for people who are replacing a 3 hole faucet. This faucet is much shorter than the old faucets were. There is only 3-1/2 to 4" total length on either side from the center hole on the trim kit. So, you can easily change your plumbing set up for a single hole installation, but the trim kit may not cover your old holes. We just used the single hole faucet assembly (without the trim kit). We put it in the hole that was best for reaching both sink basins and then bought 2 cheap 2 inch hole cover blanks to cover the old holes. You can spend $20 or more each for hole cover to match the faucet, but we just used cheap plastic hole covers and it looks fine. We installed one of these for my mom over a year ago. It is still looks and works like new! It was so nice, that when our old faucet crapped out a few months ago, we decided to get this one, too! And as an added bonus, it was actually $50 cheaper than the non-reflex (pull out) version. And it's Moen, so it has a lifetime warranty! Highly recommend! ... show more

  • We Like this Faucet
Color: Oil Rubbed Bronze Style: Wave - Gen 1
Bought this to replace a less satisfying Price Pfister kitchen faucet in a new house. We had an similar non-motionsense Moen faucet in our old house, which we liked. Pros: - We really love the motionsense. It works well. Not having to use dirty hands on the faucet is an advantage. - The Moen is better than Price Pfister. We have a Delta faucet in my dads house - the spray head on the Moen is better than the Delta, specifically the spray pattern is better and the faucet automatically switches back to stream when turned off, which I like. - Installation is easier than the regular model since you don't have to run the hot and cold water lines up to the faucet (they go the flow control module). Cons: - The water flow is less than the non-motionsense version. I would guess about 2/3's of the non-motionsense version . That being said, we still definitely prefer the motionsense version - thus 5 stars. - Occasionally the faucet will activate when not intended if your hands pass close the lower sensor. The function of this sensor can be turned off if desired. Observations & Suggestions: - The guts of this faucet is the battery powered flow control module which you mount somewhere on the back/side of the sink cabinet. The hot/cold mix and on/off/flow rate are all done by this module. The handle on the faucet only sends an electronic signal to this module. This is elegant. If you have plumbing problems (faucet drips etc) all you have to do is replace the module which is probably easier than tearing the faucet apart. Moen is good about standing behind their products and hopefully this module has a good service life. - The module comes with a battery power pack with an option to order a plug-in 120 volt power supply. The faucet will not operate (no water at all) without power. I think the battery power supply is a better option because the faucet will still operate if your house loses power during a storm. I assume the faucet will blink and otherwise notify you when the batteries need to be changed. Changing the batteries is a pain because you need to clean out the bottom of your cabinet to get to the back to change the batteries. If this is a problem YOU NEED CONSIDER THE SUITABILITY of this faucet. - The water hose that runs to the faucet head has a marker tape where the weight is supposed to go. Our sink is large and the faucet head would not reach the edges of the sink with the weight at the 'recommended' location. I moved the weight further down the hose with very satisfactory results. ... show more
