So I had to finally breakdown and buy some quality knives. I have bought some mid price knives and they work good for a while but with most things you get what you pay for. These are beautiful knives and they are super sharp. These will last you a lifetime. I went with the classic series which seems to have the biggest knife selection and will always be produced by Wustuf. You don't need to buy a whole set of knives, just buy this set and add to it as you can. A good sharpening steel is a must as well. If your unsure what handle would fit your hand go to a store, like Sonoma, and try them out. These knives are pretty much the same price wherever you buy them. If you want a set of knives like this starter set that will last a lifetime don't hesitate and buy it. You won't regret it. ... show more

I accidentally dropped the mid sized knife from three four feet off the ground when I was cooking. Absolutely no chips. I also accidentally left the chefs knife over night in the sink after chopping up, no rust thank God. These knives are amazing.
