  • Was Very Happy Until It Broke After Less Than A Year
Color: Black Mesh
SECOND UPDATE: The chair has now lost the ability to maintain a constant height. Every now and again if I shift slightly the chair will drop about an inch. This is very annoying as I have to get up and raise the chair back up to a comfortable working height, and of course I know it will happen again shortly. UPDATE: Made a "quick fix" on the chair which has held up well. I am still disappointed in the chair breaking under such mild conditions, but this enabled me to avoid having to pitch it. It doesn't look particularly elegant but it gets the job done in my home office. Added a photo showing how I used a metal bracket to make the quick fix. This product would have been rated much higher, but after having had it for 9 months or so the back of the chair broke. I weigh about 200 pounds so I am not small, but I'm also not huge so it wasn't under an extreme amount of stress or anything, it just seems to lack durability. In fact, it is very rare that I lean back in the chair period, so the back was not even stressed frequently. I patched it up so I can still use it, and I know it was a relatively inexpensive piece but I still think it shouldn't be breaking under normal use in less than a year. Aside from that, it is a comfortable chair, and I like the mesh back because it breathes better. I like that the arms fold up out of the way if you don't want them there, even if that means they do not have adjustable height. Also, it does not have a large amount of height adjustment but I'm relatively tall and it's not an issue for me, just something to be aware of. Perhaps I was just the unlikely person who got a bad back or just happened to lean back in the "perfect" way that would cause it to break, but I was very disappointed because otherwise I would have very highly recommended this chair. ... show more

  • Seat a tiny bit high for my 5’2”.
Color: Brown Mesh
This chair is not bad. It is not returnable so it is going to have to do. I just put it together so these are my initial thoughts. It is ok to put together by yourself, but four hands would be better than two, especially when putting on the seat, because it’s awkward to hold the heavy seat in place and screw in the bolts at the same time. The seat is a little harder (firmer) than I expected, but I think it will be good over time. I’m a little disappointed, because I did a lot of research before buying a chair that would work for me, but the seat could be an inch or so lower for my 5’2” height (my heels don’t rest on the floor) but the lumbar support is good and just about where it should be. I think a woman an inch or two taller than me would do well. The arms are a little wide and not adjustable, but they are at the right height to rest on without bending down. They tilt up out of the way and the mechanism is such that I could actually leave them part way up if I don’t rest hard on them. It’s so much better than what I have been sitting on! The fabric seat and arm covers look nice, and the back matches perfectly and feels strong. I needed a chair with lumbar support for herniated disc and wanted to be able to rest against the back while I work to keep from slumping over the desk causing shoulder pain. I’ll try to remember to give an update in a few weeks. First impression is that it just might work! ... show more

  • Comfortable, but not for 8 hours
Color: Gray Mesh
The chair looks just like the pictures. Seat and arms are a silvery gray cloth, waffle-type pattern. Back is silvery-gray and black stripes, with the black being almost clear so air can flow. Insanely easy to put together - wasn't even a challenge. I like that I can flip up the arms to push the chair all the way in. My only negative is that the seat cushion is pretty thin. I work at my computer at least 8 hours a day and this is not the right seat for that. I did have a really big chair with 6 inches of cushion which was great for my back, but that chair was just too big for my space. I just ordered a cushion and hope that will solve it for me. ... show more

  • Broke after 3 months
Color: Black Mesh
This chair worked nicely for the for about the first four months then something broke related to the seat's back. Some sort of fastener and rubber circular piece broke and fell out which is what has caused this issue (pictured). The seat back no longer has resistance even when I try to set it to a certain position. I contacted amazon about this but because it was past the initial 30 days so they will not help me and suggested I contact the manufacturer which I have done but have not recieved a response. If the situation is resolved in an agreeable manner or if I find out this is some sort of weird defect with the chair I'll update my review according. For the time being however this is not worth purchase price since it broke after less than 3 months. ... show more
