I love the multitude of adjustments on this chair! The seat depth and fit are good. The height range is also nice and hard to find (though the ability to go about an inch lower to be used as a standard chair would be even better). Only two complaints: - The seat sits too far forward so that your legs have to be bent back quite a bit to rest on the foot ring. On most drafting chairs, the seat is quite centered front to back over the foot ring. On this one the front sticks out a couple inches and the back is couple inches in front of the back of the foot ring. This is probably partially for balance when the chair tilts back, but I think they overdid it. I am going to try to find a larger foot ring to compensate. - The tilt and height adjustment for the back rest are awesome! It should also have the ability to slide back and forward. ... show more

I really wanted to like this chair and gave it a shot but like other reviewers I found it had two inherent problems. The first and biggest problem is that the seat has a general tilt forward that cannot be resolved with adjustments. I always felt like my legs were leaning forward and even when I rested my feet on the ring never felt like a secure seat. The second problem is the ring itself as others have mentioned it's just not quite large enough to easily rest my legs on. I am 5 ft 9 and found I had to hook my feet in the ring to get them to stay. I also had my husband try it in the lowest position as a desk chair and he too did not find that it was comfortable even with his feet resting on the ground instead of relying on the ring for support as I did in the drafting table height. ... show more

Packaging was destroyed when delivered. Thankfully all items were still inside the box. This chair is basic at best. The few adjustable items are nice. I know office furniture is mass produced crap for the most part but this chair takes the cake. First, the box it came it wasn't even properly taped shut. Inside was a mass of materials padded by some very cheap, crumbly styrofoam (the worst kind of styrofoam). After unpacking everything I found there was no instructions of any kind. The foot rest, which is a round, hollow, metal tube within which a small particle could be heard rolling around (very annoying). The plastic on which the casters are mounted has rather poorly cut ends as you can see in one of my photos. Cheap production process! The foam seat has a very strong chemical smell. Not particularly bad but strong when you get up to it. Can't help but wonder what it is. More Chinese endocrine disruptors I suppose. One of the control handles was gouged/scraped, and not by something in the shipping process. They were all dirty with some kind of film. The final straw for me was, when attempting to mount the metal control bracket to the bottom of the seat, I found that one of the screw holes came with pre-stripped threads! I very gently, from every conceivable angled, attempted to thread several of the screws into that hole, but could never get more than about 1/4 of the way down the screw. This obviously is a problem that can't be ignored. So, I will be throwing everything back in the box and returning to Amazon. Totally unacceptable garbage. For the price I paid for this you'd expect some care - but the people who made this crap clearly do not care about you or the quality of their product. It's just more mass-produced Chinese garbage churned out to undercut quality product for cheap profits. ... show more
