I loved how easy it was to put together . Took me about 4 hours , by myself . The inside is nice and weather resistant, keeping my hens nice and dry. It sleeps comfortably 6 hens , pushing 8 . I keep mine in at night ( it is very safe) . Letting them out during the day to room free. To be honest it is a little small for 8 adult hens to be included all the time. I have 3 full adult hens and it is perfect for them. Lots of added security hinges and added features. I insulated with hay and cedar shavings . The hens are laying well in the nesting boxes ! good product for price but if you are serious about chickens it needs improvements. not predator proof. there is no floor and the wire needs to be upgraded from chicken wire to hardware cloth. the latches are cheap and raccoons can get in easily, need second locks or better locks. 2 chickens max unless u are a chikn slum lord. plan on getting a better coop within a year. ... show more

This coop is the section 8 of chicken coops. It could be good for a single season, but I don’t see it holding up to the elements for long. The roof can’t support weight. It bowed under the weigh of my cordless drill. The latches aren’t going to keep anything out. I question if they will keep anything in either. The craftsmanship of the assembled pieces from the manufacturer are horrible. I had to modify things just to assemble the coop. I ready don’t like the gap on the laying boxes that they have you put a thick piece of plastic over. It’s between the main body of the coop and the food line of the boxes. The roof itself could literally fall apart because the screws are not long enough to hold the cap on. Nothing is marked or started to guide you on how to assemble this thing. It’s very flimsy all around. Mine came with a roof cap that had the roofing peeled back. I would recommend putting the ramp on before the run side wall and the run roof before the main body roof. It will make life much easier. I would also install the skid plate for the ramp to the run wall before attaching it. Main take away, it’s flimsy and not made to last. ... show more

I put it together by myself. It’s mostly easy. So far it has worked great. I have 8 hens and had to move them quickly out of the box they were in. It shipped quickly to the house, pretty big, nice price, and works for what I need it for. I’ll consider buying a second one and combining together.

This product was very nice at first but is falling apart after only using less than 8 months. One of the lower doors has already fallen off and one of the e nesting box lids broke soon after starting to use it. Also the weather strip on the nesting box lid is cracked from the weather.

Coop went together well. Nice coop; excellent packaging all 5 boxes arrived. Two cracked PCs of wood but truly well done. A nice size too Wife and I assembled in a few hours but I’m in a neck brace so add a bit for that. I’m happy with the investment!
