I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this product. It is mostly metal with few plastic parts. The flywheel resistance is smooth and pretty quiet. Further, the installation was easy (all tools included). One thing that I think is important when considering any cardio equipment — is you should not go too cheap. You can get a great workout with some cheap plates, a cheap barbell, and a cheap bench…HOWEVER, when it comes to CARDIO EQUIPMENT - the proportion of use is going to BE EVEN MORE proportional to the quality of the equipment. In other words, if you want to get in shape - do not go to Walmart (or other big box retailer) and buy a PLASTIC elliptical — you will not use it…it will likely sit in a corner. …and you will eventually be selling it for peanuts to get rid of it. Go to Facebook marketplace right now and look at how many crappy ellipticals are for sale in your area…almost all of them are plastic junk that its owner regrets ever buying, SO - I say this to say all of this to make the point that while this product is a lot of money- I fear that if you buy an elliptical significantly less than this price point you may be throwing your money into the garbage. While I do recommend this product, there are some issues: 1. Front Wheels could be more beefy. However, most of us will not be moving the unit around too much - so this is not a big deal. 2. Cupholder should be bigger to accommodate a larger drink (e.g. Blender Bottle size). 3. The only way to change resistance is to use the MobiFitness app. It would be nice if I could change it manually so that I do not have to have my tablet/phone with me (and have it charged). 4. The shelf for the phone/tablet needs to be deeper. A standard iPad in a standard hard case will not fit. This was clearly designed to fit an iPad WITHOUT a case. 5. The Plastic “Pedals” seem fine, but I wish they were a made out of slightly thicker plastic. 6. The plastic “pedals” have a raised “lip” that goes around it- even across the backs of the pedals. I wish this “lip” did not exist on the back of the pedals because it prevents you from even slightly having any part of your shoe “hanging “ off the back of the pedal. If you have small feet, you probably will not care. However, I have large feet (Men’s US Size 13) and having the backs of my shoes able to hang off the back of the pedals would be a nice option to have. 7. There is a missed opportunity for charging: I wish that “phone/tablet stand” had a USB port to charge your device when in use - or better yet- a wireless charger built into the stand. The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love this mobi elliptical machine! It has a great design and moves smoothly during workouts. The quality of the machine is also top-notch, giving me a sense of reliability. Additionally, the app is very convenient to use and doesn't require any subscription, which is really awesome. My wife and I are very impressed with the MobiFitness Elliptical. We were going to buy a smaller one, but were advised to go with this one, and we are glad we did. It is built like a tank. You can see the quality and workmanship that goes into it. It is smooth as silk and dead quiet. The instructions to put it together were flawless. This machine is exactly what we hoped it would be. It's a real aerobic monster. We haven't exercised all winter and are slowly easing into our workout sessions. Every day we get a little farther working out as we build our strength. It is so quiet no one can hear when we're on it. I'm 72 years old and this is a low impact workout that everyone can benefit from. I sure am. ... show more
