Received my first 4.5 qt. stand mixer for Christmas. With no place for storage - it must be on the counter. But each time I tried to use it, it is so heavy and hard to move forward the 12-16" on my granite counter top. Saw this advertised and had to try. The mixer fits perfect on the base. With a slight push down on the lever and pull forward with just 1 to 4 fingers and the mixer glides right out. Release lever and it sits tight. Start the mixer and there is zero movement sitting on the base. Do the finger move in reverse and it glides right back under the counter. Works as intended.

This review is for the 4.5-5 Qt sliding tray. It's a great concept. It's not a drawer, so there's no limit to how far it can slide. Technically, it doesn't slide, but rolls. And it rolls smoothly. Overall construction is decent. However, it's a bit too small for my 5Qt Bowl lift mixer. Dimensions would have been useful in the description, but since there weren't any, I'll include some here. The platform is 13-3/8" long; the width at widest point is 8-3/8"; and it narrows to 7-1/4" at the back.

The media could not be loaded. This is a great product. There is nothing to put together. It fits under the 4.5-5 quart KitchenAid mixmaster perfectly. I love that you can pull it out with one hand. It’s only $3 more than another version and well worth the small bump up in price.

It is great when using in countertops made of stone. However, if you have a mat on top of the countertop like I do, it will resist a little when rolling the item with the kitchen aid mixer on top but if you don’t have anything between the countertop and the roller, you won’t have a problem.

This tray works well and holds my stand mixer perfectly, but I find the style awkward to use. I just can’t get a hang of the push button, and I worry that the wheels will leave just as much of a mark on the countertop as the stand mixer would. Works fine, but not for me.

No assembly required. Put on your counter and then place the mixer on top of it. Made of strong, sturdy metal not plastic like most out there. Just press the little lip down in the front and slide forward and voila you've move your mixer without having to lift it. Should have bought it sooner. Don't hesitate! Buy it now. Just make sure you mixer model is compatible. This is not one one size/universal model.
