    • Bulbs in poor shape
I planted these bulbs in the ground as instructed and only half of them came up and then immediately stopped growing the leaves turned pink and died. Some bulbs had mold on them when they arrived.

The ones that grew brightened up my day, absolutely lovely and gorgeous tulips about the size of Easter eggs. Most didn’t grow though, some arrived moldy and soft, I threw some out and took a chance on others and they didn’t show any growth this year so they might not have been viable. After the first few that grew well the rest came up and gave me withered or shrunken heads. I am convinced some of this is user error (see below for more details), but receiving moldy bulbs was probably a reflection on the product itself. SOME of the issues may be because I made some rookie mistakes: 1. I planted them in January instead of October so I am not sure they got cold enough. 2. I live in Southern California but my backyard is quite shady. So not a lot of sun light but quite warm even in winter. ... show more

About half of the bulbs we received were moldy and squishy. We planted what we could and we'll see if anything comes up

These did not germinate. I got zero flowers. The ones that I bought at the dollar store have grown and have been thriving.
