Aesthetically, it looks great with my bedroom decor/colors. I would say the faux wood finish is not great, but not bad. I was hesitant to order another Minka fan because the last one is down to one speed and it would be more expensive to order a replacement part and have it repaired (which may be the idea). So far, I have only used the low speed at night. It's been perfect for southern CA weather. The sound is a bit louder at medium speed, and it freaked me out a little because it sounded like it might come apart. It was professionally installed by a trusted electrician, so maybe I'm expecting too much. But the remote works great and if there is a problem at higher speeds, I will revise my rating. ... show more

Worst customer service ever! I was on hold for over an hour both times! The canopy would not fit with the receiver. No one tells you the receiver goes inside the mounting bracket. Including them. Bought this fan for guest bedroom - the 44 inch fan was perfect for the small size of the bedroom. Very attractive and quiet for sleeping. Performs well - has 3 speeds - moves air well and is very quiet on all speeds. Used low speed for sleeping and it kept the room nice and cool. Great remote. The light is bright, and has the ability to dim down to a soft light. Installation was a little difficult but not bad. Highly recommend this fan - very attractive design. ... show more

Put the fan up today. Nice fan. Pretty quiet. Instructions were decent. Had everything except the tools of course. Moves air nicely. Only thing I dont care for is you can tell the blades are plastic. Otherwise, its a nice fan.

I have installed a few around the house now. The style is great, much better than anything at the box stores. The quality is great too. The longest running one in the house now is over two years. I have not had the whining problem a few have complained about. They move a lot of air, and are much quieter than any of the fans I've had previously. They're easy to put together and install, maybe an hour if that. Someone complained that the blades are plastic. Because of the round configuration, I wouldn't want wood. Wood bent in that shape would warp over time. They look like wood and very aesthetically pleasing. Can't really say much more, except buy the wall switch as well. ... show more

Package arrived damaged. Careful inspection of contents showed no damage to the fan itself though so no return needed. Installation was simple (having done many fans before). Only complaint is that the fan has low hum when operating. Other fans I've purchased (mostly Hunter) run silently. The fan looks exactly as advertised and works well otherwise. Bought this fan due to its unique styling but wish it was silent like others. We plan to keep it and I will look at options for reducing the hum. ... show more
