abunda_amazon_reviews I’ve been searching for ceiling fans for a really long time. We bought from a big box store for our last house, and it was ok, but really nothing special. We just purchased a new home and I’ve been on a serious quest to find modern looking fans that just sort of blend in. These were a total jackpot. I bought two and am very happy with the purchase. First the look: they look really great. The blades are plastic, but I think that makes them look better than the normal fake wood blades. They look like they belong, and do not stand out. It just blends right in. I got the flat white ones without a light, and they are exactly how I hoped they would look. Very modern, but not in an annoying way. Nice minimalist design. Second, the operation: The fans a very quiet. The only sound I hear is when they are on the highest setting and it’s just the sound of air moving. On the lower settings I hear nothing. And, no matter what speed setting, I do not hear the motor at all. They move a decent amount of air. We have one in our sunroom where a wood stove is, and this does a great job of circulating the air. I like that I can put it on the lowest speed and it moves the air and I don’t even hear it. I actually came downstairs one morning and realized that I had left the fan on overnight because it was so quiet I forgot about it - that’s a perfect ceiling fan in my book. Third, the controls: I love the simple controls. Just 4 speeds and off. There’s no remote, but I don’t want another remote around the house that someone will lose. The logo of the company is very large on the controls, and I would rather it not be there at all, but it’s not that big of a deal. Other reviews mention that the 1 is highest speed and the 4 is the lowest speed. That is true, and I wish it was the other way around. Also, not a big deal, but just another style preference. It all fits in a normal switch box and uses standard switch cover sizes. Four, the installation: I am a moderate DIYer. I’ve installed one ceiling fan prior to these two, and a couple of light fixtures. These were super easy to install. Everything you need comes in the box. I was replacing old nasty beige fans; so, the fixture box was already set up to hold a fan. If you do not currently have a fan, then you need to upgrade that box. If you’re replacing a fan, you should be good to go. The instructions weren’t the easiest to follow, but the process itself is very straight forward. In my opinion, fans are actually easier to install than normal light fixtures because they have a bracket that holds the fan while you wire it. The box includes the fan control switch and a switch cover. One minor critique is that one of my switch covers had a small blue stain on it (seen in picture). I wasn’t anticipating that it would come with the covers so I had already bought one so I used the one I bought instead. Didn’t seem worth the couple bucks I spent to try to get it replaced. They are a stand size and one of them has a dimmer switch right beside it and it all fits easily. Overall: Very very happy with these fans. Even with a few minor things that I wish were different, I still give 5/5 stars. They look great. They’re very quiet. They were easy to install. Highly recommend. I installed this in the fall so didn't need to use it much during the nights, but when I started using it more in the spring I realized how loud it is, and I wish I'd used it sooner so I could have sent it back. At the lowest of 4 settings, there is a moderate low hum from the motor that's enough to bother me but not so bad that I can't sleep. At setting 3 or 4, it's so loud that it sounds like I have a bass speaker in my ceiling. I was attracted by the looks and price, but if a fan can't operate quietly then it's a waste of money. Video is on the highest setting, which you probably wouldn't ever need because the fan gets going very fast, but it helps demonstrate the sound. I bought 2 sets and have them installed with the shorter rods in my bedrooms which has 2 light switches. My DH actually commented that these are the best thing we have decided to change in our new house as we don't have AC and there was a weekend when the temperature soared to 90ish. ... 3 of these fans and they buzz and whir like crazy. Easily the noisiest fans I’ve ever encountered
I have 3 of these fans and they buzz and whir like crazy. Easily the noisiest fans I’ve ever encountered. Contacted the manufacturer who sent 3 capacitors that required the entire fan come down, so I did that on all 3 fans. Didn’t make a difference and actually made one of the fans worse. Tried 3 different controllers too. Now they want me to send back all 3 fans so they can replace them, but that’s a pretty huge hassle.

Avoid this fan.
The fan looks great, but I've been very disappointed with the noise that it makes. Much easier to hear when it's quiet at night time, even on low settings. I'm also using the Minka fan wall switch selector.

Big fan of this normal size fan
Cannot say enough about the look of this fan. It is hard to find a fan that is flat white, most are in high gloss. If you have lower ceilings (read ranchers in the 1970's), then you want a fan that blends into the ceiling and this fan definitely fits the bill. The controls are great. As other reviewers have stated, the first setting is high and then it goes back down. However, with most fans that have slider wall controls, this is the norm. Here was what we were looking: - flat white - no lighting fixture - wall control for speed We got all three and did not pay an arm and a leg for it

Minimalist design, powerful performance
I have been crazily looking for these gray fans for my new home renovation and only Amazon has it in stock. Most of the gray/white colors is on back order in major websites. And it is delivered within 3 days, in time for my electrician to install it. I like it that it has a wall controller as I do not like remote controller which spoil the minimalist look. The wall control is also of the same standard size of a light switch. I bought 2 sets and have them installed with the shorter rods in my bedrooms which has 2 light switches. I asked my electrician to use a 3 gang wall plant to line the fan controller together with the light switches giving it a clean look. My DH actually commented that these are the best thing we have decided to change in our new house as we don't have AC and there was a weekend when the temperature soared to 90ish. We just hid in one of the rooms with the fan on to speed 3. The fan is quiet, stable, and sleak. I only like modern and simple design which can be hard to find at this price range.
