I've been in the IT industry for years, I've seen a lot of mini PCs, but MINISFORUM is my go to brand for a reason. and this Venus series is no different. I've tried different models from this brand, and they've always been top-notch. This one's got an Ryzen 7 7735HS, which is crazy fast. It's perfect for light gaming and stuff like Photoshop. also it's super power-efficient, so you're not going to see a huge spike in your electric bill.

This is my second MiniPC (Both MinisForum) and so far so good. I can't say anything about how it runs on Windows because as soon as I got it I installed ProxMox on it, then Docker, and it's now running several containers and VMs. For Linux and my uses, it's a beast of a little machine and takes anything I have thrown at it like a charm. I also upgraded the RAM to 64 GB purchased this Crucial Brand one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09S2QLBWC I'll be running many VMS and containers, so I need a lot of RAM. Whatever RAM you buy, if you plan to upgrade RAM, make sure you get laptop RAM. Desktop RAM will not work with MiniPCs. Upgrading the RAM was very easy, you just press the little clamps from the outside and the existing RAM sticks popup, then you can slide the new ones in. A delicate process for someone without much practice or tools for this, so be careful. I also added a 2 TB SSD. Purchased this Samsung: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08QB93S6R The expansion slot it has requires a 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD. So again, make sure you get something like that if you plan to upgrade the storage. Placing that 2.5 Inch SSD in there was a trip, If you have fat fingers and bad vision like me, prepare to have a lot of patience. The spot where the connector is located is hard to reach, and the whole thing is delicate, so you have to proceed with caution. Excellent little machine as far as I can tell.

I've had this for under six months, and I absolutely regret my purchase. I've had unfixable problems with the bluetooth out of the box and had to buy a separate receiver and more and more little things start going wrong. At this point, all audio is a half second delayed, and I have to delete and re-pair my headphones every single time I connect them. (Trust me, it's NOT a driver problem). All of the components are poor quality, so frequently used USB ports have become spotty and don't work half the time. I didn't start using it right away, so I didn't realize it was a lemon until the return window had closed. Either save your money for something better, or gamble with a different brand. Update: Less than 8 months since the purchase date, the video card is now dead. I used this almost exclusively for twitter and youtube, with occasional light, low-spec gaming. Absolute trash.

I really like the size of the pc. It comes with a stand and a vesa mount. I mainly use my pc for light gaming. It keeps the temp in a safe range even at 100% load with little fan noise. I like that it is upgrable for memory and an 2.5" ssd. I would definitely recommend this computer to anyone who needs an energy efficient and small form factor computer.

Small footprint, great performance for the money ( I give it 5 stars for that), unfortunately it got stuck in a non bootable situation, from Windows10-11, Archlinux (and other variants), and Debian (with other variants). I believe it has to do with the on chip gpu, the only OS/software I could get to boot and run was Memtest86+. I have reached out to support for warranty (it was supposed to have 2 years) and have heard nothing back. So far I would say, steer clear of these guys and their products. I have a few more running still and fear their day is nigh. It's a shame, I wanted to replace the fleets of computers my clients have for these, but I can't imagine that for even a moment now. After a week or so a rep got back to me, Jessie. They got me setup with a replacement unit of equal or lesser value. Due to inadequate supply, I ended up trying out the MINISFORUM UN1290 as a replacement, so far so good. I'm only docking a star because that unit died so early. Customer service was great and these rigs perform quite well for the pricepoint and footprint.

Currently I’m running an Ark Survival, V-rising, 7days, Conan Exiles, and 2 Minecraft servers on this pc. I don’t really use it for much else. I did upgrade to the 64gb ddr5 which is the max for this machine and everything runs without issue. Highly recommend for server use as opposed to always renting one from hosting sites. Extremely quiet.

1 week review. so far so good. got this to replace my massive media pc / light gaming rig. so far it has streamed everything and i was able to play the steam games i play. we will see how it does long term.
