Very disappointed in this projector. I thought this would be excellent given the reviews. But I'm guessing that most people that have reviewed, this is their first projector. First of all, the specs listed on this Amazon post arent true. Like it says the lamp life is 55,000 hours in the manual it says 30,000 that's nearly half of what is advertised!! And because of that lie I'm positive the others are also inaccurate. The projector is loud!! Which is a big bummer- you shouldn't be able to hear the fan over what you're watching. There's some other important features either completely missing or down right bad like being able to adjust the screen size or when adjusting the focus- part of it is in focus and another part will be out. Overall I'm extremely disappointed I thought with the advancements in technology and the sparkling reviews this would shine over my old one but it definitely does not! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I love this projector! It's the perfect balance of cost and image quality. I'm really freakin cheap, but I've been wanting a projector for forever! I did my research on lamp life,throw-distance,lux/lumens, and this is THEE best deal you're gonna get at less then $200 (I bought with a $25 coupon). I'm still waiting on my projector screen, but even projecting onto my textured wall it looks great. In my video, im projecting at 100inches and this thing (in the dark) can enlarge up to 220inches. It's just badass. Highly recommend. One last thing: You MAY want to get a better gold hdmi cord if you wanna use it to play current gen video games. I was playing Red Dead Redemption 2 and it stutters just a tad bit. Negligible in my opinion, but I know some folks play shooters and that stuttering can probably ruin a few matches for you. ... show more

    • Not what I expected
I was looking for a smaller projector to “replace” my 2015 BenQ model projector and came across this one. As soon as I got home I connected my Roku to it first. It didn’t work and I couldn’t t figure out why until I did a bit of research to find a post that stated using a usb drive to power it up worked for them, so I disconnected the Roku and then connected my 4K Fire stick to it along with a usb drive, and it worked. I was kinda impressed with the picture quality but then noticed the left side of the projection wasn’t even with the right (from top to bottom). In other words, the picture size was lopsided. I moved the projector around several times and adjusted the keystone and focus, still didn’t get better. In a pitch black room, the brightness wasn’t what I expected either. The sound quality from the built-in speaker was pretty good so I assume it would’ve been much better had I connected it to my mini stereo system with subwoofer which is perfect for movie night when you don’t want to generate too much sound but still get that theater effect. Anyway, my 2015 BenQ is far better than this “2020 upgraded” version of a projector. Returning it is a no brainer for me. Better luck next time? ... show more

    • Buyer Beware... it stopped working!
I really wanted to write a 5 star review regarding this projector, but IT STOPPED WORKING! Not only that, but a dark spot developed on the screen about a week ago along with a loud grinding noise upon start up (it would eventually resolve, but still). Only bought it a few months ago (April), not much information or help from the manufacturer (Amazon doesn't have their information linked for any further assistance), only their "chat now, call me" feature, which I'm sure will tell me to contact the manufacturer. 😪 Very frustrating. 😡😡😡 UPDATE! I Contacted Amazon: though the CSR did ask if I tried to reach out to the manufacturer (sigh), and explaining that there's no information regarding how to contact them, they offered to either replace or refund. I'm giving one extra star for their customer service in trying to resolve the issue, but still... the projector that I replaced was a total P.O.S. refurbished one from Groupon for LESS THAN $100, and THAT lasted longer than this one that costs MORE THAN $100. Could I watch movies/TV during daylight with this "improved" one? Yes. Is the image quality 100x better than the cheap one I bought? Yes. Did it clap out on me like the crappy one should have? Yes. Should I probably just save my nickels and dimes and just invest in one that will massage my feet and burn my retinas? Probably. Buyer Beware... ... show more

We purchased this as a “family” Christmas present. Very happy so far. I’ll update this as we use it more, but so far so good. Pros: - nice design - good size, not too heavy and not too small - picture quality is great. We first projected onto our kitchen wall and ended up watching twenty minutes of a movie there:) - easy to use - we use with a hard drive and can plug in and navigate to the movies and play one right on the projector - remote works well - instruction manual was easy to follow - focus dials seem to work well - arrived nicely packaged in a box which we are keeping to store it in No cons so far. Really happy with this. We’d been talking about getting one and are happy we pulled the trigger on this one! ... show more

This projector is perfect for movies outside, especially now when you can’t go anywhere. We hooked it up thru out phone to our Sonos for amazing sound, the sound isn’t great with the speaker that is in the projector. The picture is super clear and the kids love it.
