I start reviews at 3 stars then add or subtract for any pros\cons. First, I searched and purchased this projector so it's NOT a Vine product or freebie review. I just take my reviews seriously and like to be thorough. Initial Impression (+1 star) The projector was packaged very securely. When I pulled it out, its' weight and quality felt very durable and well made. I had a previous one similar to this style that was cheaply made and the pivot point failed after 3 months of use. This one by Tecaki is MUCH better and feels like it will last a long time. Features (+1 star) Setup was very easy and the menu options are simple and clear. I didn't need instructions to get it to cast from my S24 Ultra but casting does require a newer model phone. You can also use an HDMI dongle to your phone, or direct HDMI from a computer. This takes over the device and I wanted this to run by itself. The fine print on one of the images says TV stick sold separately. (-1 star) The menus seem a bit 'cheap' and 'toy-ish'. After using it, I found it's simple and functional. It could definitely use a redesign, but it works. (+1 star) The video quality is awesome and it projects well and the colors are vibrant in a dim or dark room. It will "work" in a bright room, but the picture is definitely washed out the brighter the room is. I wasn't expecting to use it in a bright area so this wasn't a problem or an expectation for me. (+1 star) The picture size is impressive. I have an empty wall in one of the rooms and I can project the picture from the projector to nearly fill the entire wall. I didn't want to lock up a phone or a PC and I planned to use a FireStick. I pulled a FireStick 4k MAX from a TV I wasn't using and plugged it in. The FireTV logo appeared briefly then disappeared with a message that it could not be recognized. After unsuccessfully trying to mess with the settings, I reached out to Support. Support (+1 star) In short, Tecaki support is AMAZING. Shelley was extremely polite, thorough in the responses, and responded quickly (timezone difference considered). We didn't have to go back and forth 5 times for something to be done. The first response provided me with troubleshooting steps and what the next steps would be if these didn't work. The second email was exactly what I needed to know. Even though the 4K Max FireStick doesn't work due to resolution incompatibility, Shelley said the FireStick HD version does. I swapped the 4K FireStick for a HD FireStick and it worked. No connectivity issues whatsoever. After setting up the FireStick, it streamed YouTube and all of my apps flawlessly. (-1 star) Even with the HDMI extension cable, you cannot put the projector straight up without it squeezing the cable. I don't plan to use it on the ceiling but it would have been a cool option for my kid's sleep-overs or when laying in bed. (-1 star) The volume control on the FireStick remote will not control the volume of the projector like it does on my TV even after going through all 6 compatibility attempts the FireStick tries. Not a huge deal because there is a volume control on the projector's remote, but it is a annoying to have to use and keep track of 2 remotes. Pictures: 1. In Box 2. Out of box 3. Shockingly Good !! I ordered another product for the same price and it was only a projector works with slides used for calming at bedtime, it was pure junk nothing as advertised and the price was same as this Tecaki motion projector. This projector hits all the important features at an unbelievable price !! The sound unreal. Great sound without external speakers, the picture is crisp along with outstanding electric focus. I have it in a room with lighting and can still see decent video. Set up is so so easy even a teenager can do it. The manual is good as well along with a free the month warranty. It is univocally one of the best projectors for the price which I was really shocked !!! Tecaki is a great projector full motion with excellent video and sound quality something hard to believe. I will use it for a few days and update this but the quality is beyond excellent a surprisingly solid and great looking projector for a measly below 40 dollars !!! Impressed. I may buy some for my grand daughter as it’s really good to view a relaxing video on utube and fall asleep, unlimited uses and great foot watching movies ! Trust me, if it doesn’t fill your expatriations you can always return but I seriously doubt you will ! Alan

Welp. Yeah. It can actually play video files off of a usb stick. No guarantees what codecs it's compatible with but it played a certain famous movie I have encoded .mkv AVC CABAC, 5 channel audio MP3 AC3. I am impressed. Typically if that then many of my library will play. Resolution is somewhere around original DVD quality.. 'maybe'. Built in speaker is quiet. I'll hafta try some computer amplified speakers on the headphone jack. See if it's in stereo. Connected it's wan with my Xfinity. My xfinity confirmed it saw a new device. I haven't tested streaming yet. Value for money, If you have a need this is, for the price, kinda awesome. Read: Fun for kids! Quality: No idea yet. It works out of the box. So far everything as advertised. Not tested HDMI or any link to phone yet so can't speak to compatibility yet. Value for money: So far it's an awesome possibility for the kids. Mine are grown up so we used a much more expensive projector but I'll tell you.... Invader Zim and game console at a large projection apeture in the living room really gets them excited. First fire.... You will get a small electronics hot smell.. It is a fan forced cooling device. ;~) Setup is pretty easy. Star Wa.... I mean generic video recording I have plays nicely. Brightness... Not great. Make the popcorn and snacks before activities start THEN turn down the lights. Bright rooms? Not a chance. C'mon! For the price you can't expect everything 9~D I'll upload an image later. Prolly the ceiling in my bedroom.

For the money spent, I'm really impressed with this projector. I was looking for something inexpensive to project scenes on Windows for Halloween. I like the fact that it runs Android 12 and you can get apps from the Google apps store. Some of the other projectors I found had a proprietary OS. Also, its brightness is good, but it has to be fairly dark. The fan noise level is very low. The ability to use files from a usb stick, mirror the image from a phone or PC, or a streaming app makes it very flexible to project your favorite content. The company also has a great warranty, so thats a plus. Great purchase!

I bought this after my old smart projector broke, and while it has its share of ups and downs, it has grown on me over time. In my rush to find a cheap replacement, I didn’t pay as much attention to the description as I should have. I was disappointed to discover that despite being billed as “smart,” the projector doesn’t come with built-in apps. In hindsight, my first clue should have been the promotional image that boasted “Unlimited entertainment" before adding "with a TV stick”; that feels like stating the obvious, like saying a bookcase comes with a whole library once you put books on it. Luckily, I had a spare Roku device, which I now keep with the projector, but it’s something to be aware of if you expect apps out of the box. Design-wise, it’s about twice the size of my old projector. It lacks a tripod latch, which I miss; being able to mount a projector securely has been useful in the past, and this omission makes placement a little trickier. I also ran into a strange issue with aspect ratios. At first, the 16:9 mode looked squished into a 4:3 shape, and the 4:3 mode was even narrower. Oddly enough, after a few weeks of use, the problem resolved itself, and I have no idea what I did to fix it. Focus adjustment can be finicky. When I bring one part of the screen into focus, another part sometimes shifts slightly out of focus. This is especially noticeable at larger screen sizes or sharper angles. Watching football games, for example, I’d use the score bar at the bottom and the logo at the top as reference points, but one would sharpen while the other blurred. On the upside, the projector does have some solid features. The USB port worked for playing videos off an external drive, though a couple of files that played fine on my computer wouldn’t load here. The auto-keystone correction works as expected, and the overall picture quality is good considering it’s only 1080p. The biggest surprise was the onboard speaker. It’s considerably stronger than the one on my old projector. With the old model, I often had the volume maxed out at 100% and still needed a Bluetooth speaker. This projector supports Bluetooth, but I rarely need it—the built-in speaker is powerful enough that I comfortably keep it at 30–40%. Overall, for a budget projector, this one is pretty good. Once I moved past the initial disappointments, I found myself appreciating its strengths. If I had to do it again, I’d spend more time researching feature-rich options, but if you’re looking for something inexpensive that works and you already have external devices to plug in, this is worth considering.

Truly 1080p. Only wished it was a bit brighter. Overall, good value for the price. Also, the add states that it can ceiling mount, that’s not exactly true. Had to get creative but got it to work. Not loud, Bluetooth works really well, and overall seems to be good quality.
