I was astonished with the first use of this small hand held battery chainsaw. Two Blue Spruce trees were trimmed from the ground up six feet to allow mowing underneath. Bar oil previously purchased was used on the chain and worked extremely well with an oiling every eight ot ten branches. The chain stretch was minimal with one minor adjustment after trimming one tree. The same battery was used on both trees and had plenty of charge left when the job was done. I was doubtful but ordered this anyway. My hands get so tired using pruning shears, I gave it a try. Wow! It is the best thing ever! My running shears are obsolete with this little chain saw in my tool kit. You do have to oil the chain manually. It is no big deal, but I have seen other with an oil reservoir. ... show more

I give this chainsaw 5 stars for its value relative to the cost (less than $40). It's not the world's strongest or toughest chainsaw, but for the money it is amazing.
