Can't believe this was only $30! I got this for work at my daughter's house, where large branches had fallen from a tree. The only two things that stopped it were when it finally ran out of battery (do start with both batteries fully charged) and when twig-sized branches got stuck between the housing and the chain (my fault for cutting such small branches). The good news is that it's super easy to take off the cover and to adjust the chain. No tools needed. A great buy! I don't know whether there are better ones out there, but for this price, I don't even care. I own an older 4", and this is better in every way.

Only used two days, so not much to say on longevity, but it's a handy little tool at a very reasonable price. Used to chop up overgrown honeysuckle, and it handled it pretty well; mostly 1" or so branches, but there were a few larger ones like pictured (roughly 4") that it chewed through without issue. The chain oiling is manual (via the pump bulb on the top), which was mildly annoying, and the chain does need retightning occasionally (3-4 times per battery). The side thumb safety needs to be engaged every time you turn it on, so that got a tad tiresome, and if I ran it for more than an hour or so I expect I'd get a blister. The vast majority of the pieces are plastic, and cheap feeling plastic at that, so I'm skeptical about how well it will hold up over time, but it does make it a fairly light and maneuverable tool. The batteries are your cheap dime-a-dozen Chineseum type, so I also don't expect those to last as long as a $100 name brand like Milwaukee or DeWalt, or to maintain performance over years of use, but this is also about 1/10th the cost of a similar name brand setup, so I can't complain too much. All in all it's a handy little tool that seems well suited for hacking up small the medium brush and wood, and it's hard to go wrong at less than $50 all said and done.

A wonderful tool! This saw is a real workhorse. I bought it for clearing out the mesquites that were taking over the trail I walk, and it did a great job. The goggles and gloves that came with it could have been left out of my box. The goggles wouldn't stay on even without my glasses. The gloves might have been adequate had I not been dealing with 2.5 inch thorns. The saw is light weight and easy to use. Absolutely love it!

Bought for removal of “volunteer “ trees from yard. Included in purchase: work gloves and safety goggles. Please use with ear /hearing protection also. Does not include chainsaw oil so work was delayed while I went out for that. Smaller hands may not be able to hold safety button and trigger simultaneously but two handed operation is probably best for anyone unfamiliar with chainsaw usage. This is not a toy. It will cut through a 5” diameter tree. Or bone. Don’t be scared but do be careful. Pause periodically to check chain tension. Remove the battery when making adjustments — just in case. I got tired before the battery quit. I do plan to mark batteries so at end of work session it’s easier to track which battery I have used. Or just recharge battery after work session. My husband suggested that since I like it so much I should give it a nickname.

I really like this saw. I like that it comes with two batteries to extend my work time. I used it to cut down some red tip trees. It cut through those trees like a hot knife through butter. The largest part of those trees were about 6 inches in diameter. It cut through it easily. I recommend this saw for anyone doing limb trimming or small tree removal.

Cuts small trees and branches. I had a hard time keeping the chain on because I find it gets stuck if the branches are too thick. I was cutting small 3” - 4” trees in a forest so that’s my fault. Does work good, lightweight and easy to carry. Easy to use.
