I have used this for hours and it has held up. Some times the chain comes off when I overload it or hit something like fencing but that is my fault. Each battery charge lasts longer than expected. This is a great tool and alternative to a big chainsaw when doing smaller cuts.

Did exactly what we bought it for. Easy to use (be very careful though) and comes with two batteries, an extra chain, and a tool to easily tighten the chain. Cut through medium sized branches, cut roots from trees, and surprised us with its ability to cuts branches that were fairly thick. Good value for its function. With the size, I was skeptical of this chainsaw cutting some of the branches, but it cuts like butter! I was amazed how easy it is to operate and its light weight, so I was able to finish all my trimming without my arms getting tired. I was worried the battery will not last that long, but having two batteries definitely helps. When one runs out, just swap it and charge the other one while working on the trimming. I was sent a used unit. Had dirt on it and twigs and debris stuck inside it. Am going to try to get a replacement and if it happens to be used, I will be requesting a refund. If and when I get a replacement I will rereview. UPDATE: I was sent a new machine the very next day and couldn't be more happier. This little machine does big work. Have cut up to 8 inch limbs with this. One hand usage light weight, battery life is good. This machine is impressive. I used a plastic ketchup bottle (you know, the mustard ketchup bottles you by at any dollar store) to put my chain oil in as it makes it easier to lubricate the chain (no spills) and plus there's a cap to keep the chain oil fresh and avoidance of spills. Looking at the pics and size of this saw you would never think how it would do the job you want it to do. After getting in my hand I still had doubts but once used it, I love this little saw which helps me cut branches up to 4in in diameter with ease. Battery is perfect. charges pretty quick. Comes with 2 batteries so it's more convenient while other one charges. Just like anything else you will have to maintain it with oiling the chain and stuff. I bought this after the freezing rain storm in the austin area. I have 5 acres covered with live oaks and lost a lot of branches. I use my 20” gas chain saw for the big branches, but this has made the process a lot easier for anything up to about 3”. It is very lightweight and with the two batteries I have yet to run all the way out of power in a day. It can get pinched, so make sure you steady the branch you are cutting and always wear leather gloves. Case is cheaply made, likely to break under heavy use, but this isn't exactly a heavy use tool. Saw appears well made, comes with 2 batteries that are easy to charge, and replacement chains, etc. Excited to make use of it once the snow clears!
