This is about the size of a hair dryer. I'm not trained in wood shop in any way, but i have hand saws, and they make me tired so i wanted something automated. I didn't expect this to be the best in class, but it's good as a starter kit. I buy palo santo blocks in bulk, and needed to cut them up into smaller bits. Yes, need to clamp and secure what you're cutting, and this produces sawdust byproduct from the wood blocks, but i use that with some resin to burn up separately kinda like an incense! so it worked for my purpose ... show more

Just opened and charging one of 2 batteries that came with this saw. Just be aware there is only 1, I repeat 1 extra chain. The picture shows 1 chain on the saw and 2 replacement chains. Everything else seems to be correct. Also included was 1 pair safety glasses, 1 small plastic bottle, 1 pair very thin gloves, 1 battery charging cord and a decent plastic saw box to fit everything into. Price point seemed fair. If it performs well and does the small jobs I need I will be happy with it. ... show more

The chain occasionally pops off but it's easily reinstalled. Take it easy with this one and it may last. Well worth the money.

Never got a chance to use it When I was ready to, I found that the battery charger was not compatible with the unit. By this time, the return window had closed. Now I have a tool I cannot use
