When I took it out of the box I thought this thing is a joke. Nothing but a toy. And speaking of toys, I've seen adult ones more robust than this thing truth be told. However, once I had it charged up (no pun intended), I took it out to cut some wood (I'll leave that one alone). Much to my surprise, it did a pretty good job. I have some of those branches growing out of the main trunk that aren't really limbs on several oak trees. Using the extension I was able to trim them off w/out too much of a problem and a couple were at least 3"-4" thick. Biggest complaint was that I had to tighten down the chain a few times as it comes loose fairly easy. The other complaint is that you have to manually oil the chain. Otherwise I'd give it 5 stars. ... show more

Just received this yesterday and it took a minute to put together and then I charged the battery. Went out and tried it on a couple of small branches and it worked GREAT! Can not wait for the fall when I have to trim the overhanging branches...used to do by hand, now I will use this. Should save me a lot shoulder/neck pain!! ... show more

I sent this back due to the battery packs did not light up as indicated in the description of this product. I couldn’t tell when batteries were charged or when they would eventually need charging. So not sure if the batteries were faulty or the charger. The battery once on the tool did rotate the blade, however again no indication of the battery power level, so sent it back. ... show more

A few minor things they did not build in the oil hatch to pump onto the chain. Wish it also came with a second battery. Once you add oil it cuts well. Good battery life.

    • Why only four stars does not have an automatic chain oiler but definitely not a deal killer
Very happy for her price seems to work well the only thing keep it from five stars is it does not have chain oiler. Must had oil to train manually, but that seems like a pretty good product to me.
