I have a different brand mini chainsaw that I really like using . It seems ergonomic and well thought out . It has a "pure copper motor" that's supposed to be the cats meow and it really has worked really nicely but on a whim I decided to give this green machine a try because of the spectacular price . When I took everything out of the box I checked to see if the batteries from my other saw work on this one . Yes they do ! On that note I put the batteries for this one on the chargers (using this ones charger and the other ones charger ) and took it outside and went to town on some pine brush and branches after checking chain tension and lubing the chain . Both of my mini chainsaws are rated at 19'+ per second speed but this one is rated at 800hp and the other one 550hp . That equated into the green saw struggling a LOT less on larger branches than the other one . They both worked very well but I can see the Paowafol one being more battery friendly overall , making them last a little longer than my other saw , which I'm very satisfied with its battery life btw . Some of the other reviewers complain about the oil bottle having no cap . Mine did and I actually like it better than the other oil bottle I was already using , again , on my other saw . It twisted on nicely . I still put it in a small freezer bag just in case :) . The safety being ambidextrous is a nice touch BUT for about the first gazillion cuts I felt like I was trying to pat my stomach with 1 hand and rub the top of my head with the other (Try it you'll see what I mean ) but eventually I just settled for keeping 1 finger side pushing in the safety then pressing the trigger as needed . It isn't the most ergonomic layout out in the world but it is safe to use , especially with the instabrake feature on the chain . I REALLY like that feature . The chain stretched quite a bit during my first use but it was easy to adjust and I like the fact that they included a second thumb nut in case that one gets lost plus I put an extra old style nut in the case with a nut driver to use if needed (like my other saw uses ) . The included safety (I use that term VERY loosely ) glasses went straight into the recycling as those things are very very unsafe for their intended purpose . I wear XXL gloves but did manage to make the included ones almost fit . I already have some cut resistant reinforced goat leather gloves (available on Amazon) I use with my power tools but I do think they are decent gardening gloves and I do like the rubber dots for grip . I'm sure my wife will get plenty of use from them as they'll fit her much smaller hands a lot better . The instruction manual is well written and pretty informative , covering everything I needed to know to avoid a major accidental self inflicted wound . The case is ok but not very well thought out . Any semblance of rough handling and everything inside scatters around . This sucks when opening the case and stuff falls out , slowing down my start on sawing and aggravating the snot out of me . I can't fit everything into a neat little bag and have it in 1 spot . When I opened the box the first time the batteries, bag of goodies , and charger fell out . For the price I paid I'll deal with it and figure something out . My Dewalt/Milwaukee to Makita battery adapter works on this one as well as other one I'd already used it with . I like this thing so much I bought a second one with the major Prime Day savings offered . Even at regular price this product is a great great value .

I had to buy my husband a father's day gift and that has become a daunting task because he has everything! A couple of years ago I had bought him a 16" Stihl chainsaw and he was over the moon about it! However, there are always those situations when working around the yard where a larger chainsaw is just too big for the tasks at hand. So when I saw this I thought it would be perfect because it's smaller and operated with one hand. Admittedly it not being a name brand had me a bit skeptical,especially since there weren't many reviews, but I couldn't find any reason not to give it as chance given how low the sale price was plus the extra 25% off coupon. Let me just say not only was he completely surprised, but he was super excited about it! He finally got a chance to use it today and he said it works so amazingly well that he felt it did even better than his 16" Stihl!! This thing is a beast!! It sliced through an 8" tree quickly and effortlessly! He said he is insanely impressed and absolutely loves it!! Plus it comes with the extra chain and extra battery pack plus a few other things. And the batteries come with a full charge do he can be up and cutting right out of the box! This is an amazing deal!! If you're looking for a gift for a man (or woman) who has everything I wouldn't hesitate at all to get this for him. Who doesn't love power tools that make life easier and this one definitely does that!

Purchased for my father to prune trees with. Unfortunately, the cut is very rough and 6 inches is just too small. The tool performs and functions as described and seems to have plenty of power. Decided to keep it as its good for some cuts but not really ideal for pruning.

This saw is WAY better than I expected. It cuts super fast, better than my 10 inch electric. I use it for limbs bigger than the saw itself. I used it for exposed roots, but made sure I cleaned the saw and chain afterwards. I'm still on the original chain and have not even sharpened it yet. I'm amazed its still sharp. Weird how the battery is charged, but not hard to do. Both batteries still work great. I highly recommend the saw! UPDATE: The chain stretches a lot and it will get to chattering and produce a rough cut if you don't hold the saw just right. No fault of the saw, but the chain could be better. Will be trying to fit an oregon or other chain once these chains wear out.
