Amazing saw for its size and price. I’ve only used it about 4 times, but I’ve challenged it seriously twice. After cutting about a dozen wild grapevines, I easily cut a 5 inch soft maple tree with battery left over. My arthritic hands and back really appreciate the light weight and easy one-hand operation. Quite surprising. Next time I trimmed my hedge of half inch to inch Aurelias, then took on a serious cut of three 4- inch LIVE OAK ROOTS (rinsed with hose first, of course) then did most of a final 8 by 3 inch cut on the base of the root. When I came back and finished it off with second battery, I touched the sand, and had to clean and oil it. Seems as good as new after this almost abusive duty, and performed as well, relatively, as bigger saws I’ve used. I agree that a slightly bigger case would be nice, and availability of a replacement bar would be reassuring, but better than some pro brands as is.

it’s small, light enough to put in a backpack, comes with two batteries… Works fine for smaller pieces. If you live in the backwoods of Maine and anybody with a truck sees you using this, it’s kind of embarrassing. I recommend that you spend $3,000 and buy one of those monsters with a 6 foot bar on it, put THAT on the hood of your truck and the other guy will feel embarrassed.

I own a 16" Stihl and a 20" Echo gas saw so I'm a bit comfortable with a chain saw for sure. For anything less than 4" across I'll use this. Quick, easy and safe. It cuts well and the battery life is good. You have to keep an eye on chain tension, especially when new as it stretches a lot, but all chains do. Just be careful not to overtighten the chain as the thermal overload on the motor will kick in and you'll think (at least I did at first) that the battery is dead. For me the battery is good for an easy hour of intermittent cutting/ pruning and it comes with 2. I've bought 3 of these units as gifts and everyone loves them. Replacement chains are easily available and dirt cheap. It's a purchase you won't regret.

I am afraid of using a regular chainsaw, I feel like it's going to get stuck and somehow jump back and get me. I was looking for something smaller and this is perfect! I need to chop up branches that fell during winter storms and it works great. I used it for an hour right out of the box before the battery needed to be charged. Super easy to charge the batteries too. It's fun to use and works exactly as I need it to! 5 stars!

This is a wonderful little battery powered chainsaw. It comes with two batteries and charger and two chains and lots more in a nice plastic case. It cuts through wood pretty easily and bigger diameter rounds than you would think. We use it for trimming bushes and trees in the yard that are bigger than will cut with a hand cutter. We are so impressed with it that we have recommended it to three other relatives/friends and they have purchased it and are as impressed with it as we are. There are other manufactures out there with similar saws, but this one beats them all for the price, and I believe the quality.
