Nice saw, poor instruction manual. The saw is easy to operate and cuts well. Me - 80 y/o very active woman. Never having used a chainsaw before, but somewhat knowledgeable (my husband uses 3 full size to large ones) I was disappointed in the lack of information. No info on filling the oil reservoir, the oiler button, how often to oil it during use, or the safety switch. LOTS of safety info though. My husband helped me out and got me going. Other than that - comes in a nice carrying case with an extra bar, chain, oil container, safety glasses, cotton gloves, cleaning brush and adjustment tools. Good value. Battery was still charged when I was worn out LOL

Very impressed works great and the battery lasted for a long time, cuts branches very fast, very light weight, it needs to tighten the chainsaw from time to time, not sure if the oil dispenser is working fine, I didn't see much of oil on the chainsaw, otherwise it is great.

This is an update to my original review. The more I use this little chainsaw, the more impressed I am with it. I've enclosed a few pictures. I've cut branches as much as 3 inches in diameter without a problem. And after some boat dock repairs, I had some long boards that I wanted to haul off. They were so long that they were very cumbersome to move. So I used my little electric chainsaw to cut them into small pieces. And it worked like a champ. I know that isn't what this saw was made for, but I was so impressed with it that I had to try it. For the price, it's a great tool for anybody who does any pruning at all. I was really impressed with this package. For under $30, you get a great little electric chainsaw, two battery packs, two chains, plus a few extras. You even get a well-made toolbox to put everything in. The only weak point is that it has a very slow charger. So if you're going to do more than an hour of work, make sure both batteries are fully charged. I used this to prune some major branches off a bunch of my fruit trees. I just wanted to try it out. I made 30–40 cuts of branches 1"- 4" in diameter. And I didn't even have to change batteries for that. If you do a lot of pruning, this is just the ticket. It didn't cost much more than a large pair of pruning shears. And at 72 years old, I find it a lot easier to use than pruners, especially on those big branches. I might even take it on camping trips to cut firewood in the future. For the price, I don't see how you can beat this deal.

A couple of nights ago, there were winds exceeding 40 mph for about 3-4 hours here in northern New England. The next morning, I noticed two different pine boughs had snapped off and partially landed on my driveway. The larger one was approximately twelve feet long with a base diameter of about four inches, and the second one was slightly smaller. Using my new Litekon saw with a freshly charged battery (nice that two batteries are included), a properly tensioned chain, and topped off with bar and chain oil, I trimmed all the boughs from the branches and cut the remainder into approximately twenty-inch sections. The entire project, including picking up, dragging, and carrying the pieces to the woods for disposal, took just under forty minutes. The saw performed adequately for this type of work, matching its intended usage. It was effective and efficient. The pistol grip was comfortable and ergonomically designed, which should allow extended use without overexertion. The reason for rating it four stars instead of five was related to the packaging rather than the saw’s performance. When I opened the saw case (nicely included), the contents were disorganized. The charger was not in the foam cutout, the gloves were crumpled and tossed on top, the cap for the oil bottle was off and sitting on the gloves, and the limited directions were also crumpled. Although no part of the saw or chain appeared used, the items were either improperly packed or it was a returned item. While everything was present and functional, the initial presentation for my first impression was lacking. I recommend this saw for light pruning and any small yard maintenance tasks requiring a compact saw.
