This small cordless saw packs quite a punch. I was immediately impressed with the balanced weight. When I used it for the first time, it made quick work of pruning a tree. Previously, I used loppers, but those produce arm fatigue. I will use it on bamboo next, which is the reason why I got this nimble little saw. The battery life was sufficient, but did not fully run it down so I cannot confirm how long a single charge lasts. It has the expected safety features like a top chain guard and a safety on/off button. The reason I docked it one star is not because of performance, it works well, it is because oiling the chain requires guesswork. An automatic oiler should be on every chainsaw. ... show more

To be honest, this is my first electric chainsaw. I am so used to gas chainsaws that when I first picked this up, I was totally in shock on how light it was. It was lighter than some pieces of wood that I have cut. So, I was a little skeptical about how it would perform. Well, I was pleasantly surprised on how well it cut wood especially tree branches. It is really handy if you need to cut small to medium size branches of a tree. I think anyone that owns a farm with trees certainly needs to get this, especially after a severe storm and trees have fallen across your driveway or house. I really like the fact that they include everything that you need to use this chainsaw including gloves, protective safety glasses, an extra chain and a battery and wall charger. Although, it would have been nice to include an extra battery, but I certainly can't complain. If you order the 6" model, it does include 2 batteries instead of just 1. Something to consider. I also like the safety features as well, such as the safety switch and the splash guard. But one feature I really do like is the variable speed switch which is really great when you are cutting different types of trees with different densities in the wood fiber. Oak, walnut, maple, and cherry trees are all hardwood trees so you need to cut slowly through the wood. While douglas fir, pine, cedar, and spruce are all softwood trees so you can cut through them quickly. Overall, a great small and very portable chainsaw that anyone would love to own. This is my second mini chainsaw and has become one of my most used tool. It's much easier to grab and go instead of getting out the bigger blades. Cuts through small to mid size branches with ease. The design is crazy. You have to hold two separate “buttons“ to make it work. I get that. For safety. You need to use your thumb and your first finger. The positioning of the buttons makes it extremely difficult to accomplish with your left hand. After using it for a while the chain became loose and I couldn’t get it to stay tight. The tightening hole is very small and uses a screwdriver. The screwdriver they sent will not work. It’s too short. Even with a longer screwdriver you have to be careful because of the angle or you will strip the screw. I did get some work done. Not everything I wanted to do. The storage case is great and the gloves are awesome. I don’t recommend it. ... show more
