I finally got to try out the present that Santa brought me for Christmas! I've never used a real power tool before (just an electric screwdriver,) and "I'm just a girl" with very little experience with yard work aside from mowing the lawn. (But I swear I only picked pink because it was cheaper lol.) Now that we've established that I'm a total novice... I really wish I had taken a better "before" photo. We had section of our yard lined with severely overgrown cedar hedges - about 50 feet or so. I was tired of looking at them as well as getting smacked in the face by them when trying to mow around them. They extended anywhere from 10 to 15 feet from the trunks out into the yard. There was no way I was going to attempt this with my husband's corded chain saw, and my shears were no match for these thick branches. I found the set up and use of the saw easy. The chain did need to be tightened before I began. I personally didn't want the top guard thing, so I took it off. I love that this came with two batteries so I never had to pause and wait for a battery to charge while working. Cutting the brush and small/medium limbs was easy - like a hot knife through butter! The larger limbs took a little more work. I'm glad I opted for the six inch! Cutting and clearing took about eight sweaty hours. Due to impending weather, processing the brush into firewood will have to wait for another day. I'm giving this tool five stars, although I found a couple of "negatives." The eye protection goggles seem to be meant for an extra large person. I'm not petite, but those things wouldn't stay on. I used my old computer glasses for eye protection. I did have to put the chain back on a few times. Having a diagram on the saw showing the direction the teeth should point would be extremely helpful. Other than that, I am super happy with this saw!! I would recommend it to anyone looking to tackle a yard work project!!

All looks well built and nicely packaged but I specifically bout this because it comes with 2 chains and 2 batteries. However, the 2nd battery is missing. Looks like I have to start a return for replacement as Amazon tells me they cannot replace parts missing :( UPDATE: 2 days later Amazon quickly shipped a replacement kit which had everything it's supposed to have. I charged the batteries and oiled the bar and chain and hit the back yard for some fruit tree trimming. This little guy is amazing! It cut through 3 and 4 inch branches with ease. I made quite a stack of little logs on one battery and still had charge left. What a great tool when the work is too big for pruners but too small to fire up the big chainsaw and cuts much better than a reciprocating saw. Upping to 4 stars. Would give it 5 if they hadn't messed up the first time.

Finally pulled the trigger and bought a mini chain saw. Got tired of loppers as neighbors Rose of Sharon and Mulberry weed trees are invading my acre. This lil beast charged up in an hour, needed no adjustments and was good to go! (I oiled the chain & bar with some 3n1 I had first.) I was out in the yard for 2+ hours rippin' stuff up and still have juice! Lost the light or I woulda kept at it. It's FUN! Everyone with trees/trails to maintain should invest in one!! (**This is probably not for left-handed people because of the location of the safety switch, which needs to be pushed down while pulling the trigger. This particular model is designed for right-handed operation.)

The chainsaw arrived midday today. I wasn't enthusiastic, thinking I was going to go through hoops, getting this ready to use. Wrong. The batteries were ready and the chain was already on, so it was ready to rock. I had a lot of little annoying yard work that needed attention. It worked great! Very lightweight and extremely easy to use! I pooped out and needed a break (that's what I'm doing reviewing) because it had me doing so much. The extended warranty for three years was cheap, so it it conks out, I'm covered. As of now, this chainsaw has far exceeded my expectations.
