The media could not be loaded. I have several tasks around my house that dont necessarily require the use of a full size chainsaw but the convenience of having a mini size version would be very helpful. The chainsaw is feather light, easily one handed, and feels sturdy. The included batteries charge fast, and the runtime is decent. I clocked about 45 minutes of light pruning before needing a recharge. Do not underestimate this thing. It chewed through small branches like butter, even some sneaky green ones hiding under thicker wood. The 4 inch bar handled most jobs, but thicker limbs pushed its limits. That small size shines when space is tight. I weaved through awkward angles, lopped branches overhanging the roof, and even tackled a sneaky vine threatening my fence. It is nimble, precise, and lets you get into those nooks and crannies bigger saws can not reach. Mini does not mean careless. This saw packs a kick, so the included safety gear is no joke. I wore gloves and goggles every time, and the hand guard is a must. The auto shut off when I let go was a nice touch too. I recommend grabbing an extra battery pack if youve got a lot of branches to conquer. This mini chainsaw is compact, powerful, and surprisingly versatile. But remember, it is not a full size replacement. Think of it as your sidekick, not the muscle for taking down whole trees. If youve got overgrown shrubs, unruly branches, and tight spaces, it is definitely worth a try. ... show more

This is great for the yearly maintenance we do around our yard. Trying to get through some of the thicker pines really gums this thing up. Use for what it's instead for: branches and small trees. The video on the item shows fairly large trees getting cut up, but the blade is short and therefore the teeth get much hotter faster and dull. It's a good little mini chainsaw that's been perfect for trimming small branches. The package also includes and extra chain which is nice. My only complaint is the case doesn't hold everything quite as well as I'd like, though it does fit everything including the charger and both batteries.

I half expected this saw to disappoint. I honestly didn't think it would perform as well as it does. . . but I was wrong. I cut some branches today that were a good 3" in diameter, and it handled them easily. I'm sure it would not have a problem with something larger. Then I cut those same branches into 100 little pieces, one cut after another until I got bored and quit. While the motor got hot, it kept at it. Surprisingly though, the battery level indicator showed to be only down a quarter, and that was after almost continuous running. For me though, the best surprise (and I suppose they can't tell you this) is that this tool accepts the Mikita batteries I already own. In fact, the BL-1815, 18 volt Lxt batteries I have work just fine in this 20 volt tool (note that it doesn't work the other way around. . . you can't use their chainsaw battery as a substitute for your BL-1815 in your drill). If I have one complaint though, it's one I have with many Asian imports like this. And that is, their manuals stink (it's more of a leaflet, really). The translations are awful, and some useful information is either nonsensical, or just plain missing. Here's an example. . . in all caps. "NECESSARY FOR OUTDOOR LEISURE AND PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT". What? Or how about "SHOULD NOT BE TOO USED FOR CUTTING, ACCORDING TO THE ACTUAL CUTTING SITUATION, FIRST SMALL AND THEN LARGE." Huh? But what about the small bottle of oil in the case? I'm sure it's to oil the chain bar, but nothing is mentioned in the manual about how often, or what oil to substitute when this tiny bottle is gone? It's really become a pet peeve of mine, but I really wish these Asian companies would hire a knowledgable fluent english speaker to review their manuals. To have a sorry manual like this, I believe, cheapens the product. Rant over. Something else, good to know. . . though they included an extra chain with the saw, replacements are readily available. It uses a standard 6 inch long, 1/4" pitch, .043 gauge chain, which you can buy here on Amazon for just a few dollars each. At that price, it's hardly worth the effort to sharpen it. Just toss it and put on a new one. Also, the molded plastic case is really nice. It stores the tool, extra chain, two batteries, and the charger. Also a nice touch, they include a pair of safety glasses, and a lightweight pair of gloves as well. UPDATE. . . After having spent more time using the saw, I’m happy to report it has more than lived up to my expectations. I actually own two gas-powered chainsaws, and I’ve found this small electric unit has become my go-to tool for smaller jobs. I’ve used it extensively clearing oak brush, and it’s just so much easier to deal with than a heavy gas-powered model. The other thing I’ve been pleased with is the durability of the blade. I’ve been making cuts very close to the ground, sometimes getting the blade in the dirt. This usually ruins a blade’s sharpness in no time, but this thing is still cutting like new. ... show more
