    • Stopped working...No Warranty Service
Purchased in December and was really impressed with it. I actually bought a second as a Christmas present for a relative. When I finally was able to try it out it ran and cut well. It functioned better than expected but it would run well for a couple minuets, which would allow about three 3" cuts, then it would stop. I changed the battery and it would function again for a bit then stop. I thought it was overheating but I didn't use it to excess. The batteries don't last long before needing recharged but since there are two included, one can always be charging. Then, it completely stopped functioning. I have contacted the maker three times via email but have received no response. Sometimes, a low priced item functions well but usually you only get what you pay for! If you want a mini chainsaw don't waste your money on this one. Buy a name brand that honors their warranty claim in case the product quits on you. Revision... Since writing this review I was contacted by the company and given the option of a refund or a replacement. I chose a replacement and I received it within 2 days. Given the low cost, I was a bit skeptical, but the tool has been great so far. Certainly not a top-shelf product, but surprisingly useful and durable. Having two batteries is great, although one charged battery has proved to be sufficient for all the tree trimming I've done so far. The spare chain, safety glasses, oil bottle, gloves and tools were also a nice surprise. The case is a low-quality blow-molded item, but it works and sure beats having no case. One challenge is that it's not quite clear where to put everything in the case, as it isn't exactly shaped to match the contents. I've figured out a placement that works for me. I don't store oil bottle in the case, to avoid leakage, but instead keep it in a ziploc bag near the case so I don't lose it. I'd buy this again, and I may buy one for my brother as a gift.     • Nice, powerful yet lightweight tool
This was my first use of my Christmas gift. I used it to cut up a fallen Greek olive tree. This versatile tool made quick work of a fallen Greek olive tree. It's not as hard as ash or hickory. Branches up to 3 inches were cut within a couple of seconds. Larger cuts up to 6 inches took a bit more time and care. Don't rush the bigger cuts. You should keep the adjusting tools and the little bottle of blade & chain oil (filled with oil bought separately) nearby. Expect to do occasional adjustments and manual oiling as you work. If it is working hard, you will first smell the motor warming. There seems to be a thermal cutoff you can avoid with pacing (don't do only big cuts or slow down.) Don't worry if it stops - it will reset within a couple of minutes. Battery life is better than expected. ... show more

    • Wow! Works way way better than expected
Ok, YES this is so worth the money. I was and still in awe. Ok I was not expecting much out of this thing, but it opened my eyes on this neat little tool. We had some limbs come down from a recent storm, not enough to break out the chainsaws, and not in the way of anything so I let them set in place until this thing came in. I’m not talking baby limbs or whole trees, these are 8 in diameter twelve to fifteen feet long limbs with baby limbs off shoots. This thing handle them like a champ on one battery. I got through two of them and half way through third when I had to change the battery. The tool was getting warm in my hands when I changed batteries, and finally over heated and stopped. Which is nice that it just stops. I let it cool down and went back out about an hour later and finished the job. Cool little tool for small jobs and easy to use and saws for a good long time on a single battery charge. ... show more

After reading other reviewers, I feel compelled to note- This is not a gas powered Husqvarna 18in chainsaw! It's a handheld trimmer that happens to use a chain blade. It's prefect for trimming limbs too big for handheld loppers. It will comfortably cut any wood up to... lets say the size of a paper towel roll. For that purpose- it's fantastic! It's easy to assemble, easy to use and has plenty of power and endurance for its intended function. it will help you make short work of many backyard cleanup. It's safe and easy to use.     • This saw is so handy
I bought this to clean up the yard and it did so very well. When my son saw me using the saw he asked to use it and I never got to use it again. Every time he would see me with it he would ask to do the work. I do recommend you buy more chains.
