I have been looking and comparing the small battery operated chain saws for months. My husband has always had big chainsaws for cutting firewood but I could not manage that size and his health has not allowed him to use one for over 2 years and the brush is taking over our yard. I finally decided on this one as it was an Amazon Choice. It arrived on February 26, 2023 and on March 4, 2023 was my first opportunity to use it. I charged the batteries and was good to go. It cut great and was light weight. I liked that the safety button has to be pushed in at the same time as you push the trigger to operate the saw. I have arthritis in my hands and I was still able to push both places with just the one hand. I also like the cover on the top of the blade as I felt it did make it safer to cut with. I am a 67 year on woman and I was excited to start clearing out some brush and small trees. I started cutting the small branches off a walnut tree then went on cut the 3-4 inch tree trunk into pieces. The saw worked great. It had good power and made a smooth cut. I was excited!! After getting the first tree cut down I was moving on to another spot and I stumped my toe and I realized I was not going to be able to stop myself from falling so I lightly tossed the saw so I would not fall on it. After I got up I looked over at my chainsaw I could have cried with disappointment as the handle had broken where the battery attaches. I had great plans for using it this spring. I do think it is a great saw and I am thinking about buying another one when I can afford to. I guess you can give a better review after using it longer than 15 minutes but it was an exciting 15 minutes for me and it worked great.

Ok, YES this is so worth the money. I was and still in awe. Ok I was not expecting much out of this thing, but it opened my eyes on this neat little tool. We had some limbs come down from a recent storm, not enough to break out the chainsaws, and not in the way of anything so I let them set in place until this thing came in. I’m not talking baby limbs or whole trees, these are 8 in diameter twelve to fifteen feet long limbs with baby limbs off shoots. This thing handle them like a champ on one battery. I got through two of them and half way through third when I had to change the battery. The tool was getting warm in my hands when I changed batteries, and finally over heated and stopped. Which is nice that it just stops. I let it cool down and went back out about an hour later and finished the job. Cool little tool for small jobs and easy to use and saws for a good long time on a single battery charge. **update** About a year later, and as figured it did not hold up. The saw still works but the batteries will not. The batteries do not hold a charge, well they hold charge enough to spin the saw a couple times and you try to cut and they give out.

Great for trimming small limbs from shrubs and bushes. I have trimmed up to 3" branches with no problem. Battery life could be a little better but overall it gets the job done. Just remember to let it do the job and don't force the cut.

This was a gift for… my wife who loves to garden! Yes, she actually said “I’ve always wanted one of these”! So, I made sure the batteries were fully charged and laid it out for her before the weekend came but… before you know it, I had trimmed our cherimoya, guava, persimmon, peach, nectarine, and orange trees within 2 hours, filled two large garbage bins with branches, twigs, and leaves before the weekend came !=ox Yes, I’ve always wanted one of these too! I can say it was fun to use but the clean up of the aftermath took longer than the cut-up time!=ox It does not cut like a hot knife through butter but it cuts really good… Try not to cut a thick branch as instructed. It will get stuck and you’ll have to turn it off, wiggle it loose, turn it on again, and cut on the other end to cut a thicker branch. Make sure you have a stable base if you’re on a ladder… You really don’t want to recreate a Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie scene in your own yard!=ox Follow the easy instructions for complete cutting pleasure and safety!=o) The only thing that was not right about this but did not affect the ratings is that it didn’t come with the chain saw oil. I used the WD40 gel and it worked well, like a charm! There’s really no need to clean it afterwards, just spray some oil and turn it on. One precaution, use all of the personal protective equipment (PPE) that came with this… goggles & gloves. They helped me from getting splinters in my eyes AND cutting my fingers! The saw continues spinning momentarily when you take your fingers off the trigger & safety button. Luckily it hit the gloves and tore a little portion open, without cutting through my finger. So, don’t immediately touch it after it’s turned off. Let it stop spinning for a second or two… Happy cutting, be safe, and have fun in your backyard chores!
