Very impressed with first use. Cut through 5 in thick branches like butter of a weeping cherry tree which is a relative hardwood. But then....I was at first impressed with the product upon my first use. Lightweight, easy to use, comfortable. Used it for about a half hour on the first day and all went well. 2nd day came and only 10 min into use it just stopped working. No power, nothing. Thought maybe when the battery loses power maybe it just shuts off. So charged battery overnight, but still nothing after full charge. Just dead. So maybe it is good for small bushes more like an small hand held hedge trimmer. Seems real branches will kill it. Cheap enough at least to be a disposable Chinese product, but would have expected it last at least a dozen or so uses, not just two times. ... show more

We Love this small chainsaw, perfect for removing annoying vines, dead wood and overall bushes and hedges trimming. This small saw charges up super fast and is very easy to use! It’s Small and light weight but definitely Has enough power for all of our medium bushes and small trees. The battery life lasts a long time… Much longer than I thought it would.     • replacement batteries ?
I can't reply to Joys answer on the product page... Makita doesn't make a 20v battery. The 18v one doesn't match nor does it have the barrel plug to recharge it. otoh, this is NOT a toy. it will make over 3 dozen cuts through 3+ inch branches on a single charge of the supplied 2 amp battery

I put this tough little tool to the test and it passed with flying colors! I was skeptical, thinking that for the low price it would be an inferior version of the higher priced models. Not so. It cut perfectly and held it's charge. Great tool for the price!

This is just what I needed, I am working on a project with family members stripping logs of their bark so we can build a log cabin on our property. All the little nodules where branches grew really slows down that process. I bought this tool to quickly remove all those little nodules. Works great! I would recommend this tool. ... show more
