A late December purchase that I am very happy with. The lightbulbs are made of strong plastic, so they are more resilient and can handle being tossed around or straightened out out of the box.. The lights stretched out over 50 feet across the front of my house, and the clips were the biggest selling point for me on this purchase. Whether you have gutters or not, you can clip directly under the shingles or to your gutters and you can turn them 180° to either illuminate your house facing down or flip them up towards the sky. They are easy to use and very strong so you won’t have to worry about one clip slipping and pulling the rest of the lights down like dominoes, highly suggest will be using them for every Christmas to as long as I hold up which I anticipate they will. ... show more

    • Good for money but not the best.
I’ve gotten 2 sets of these so far. I have to say they are pretty far from durable, but again the pricing is better than most. In the future I think I’ll go with something else. They aren’t near as bright as I hoped either, but the color variety is fun!

    • Not actually a "Rope Light" but a string of lights
It's soo hard to know the actual sizes and brightness from the pictures supplied, I was concerned that the spacing and the brightness would be a problem but I purchased two 72' long strands for my deck. The string of lights are not inside a large plastic tube/hose as are most Rope lights, but a pair of wires with LEDs installed 4" apart in a micro tube, which is very flexible, making corners very easy to install (I recommend the small Command Outdoor Hooks). We really like the ability to change the colors and a good selection of colors too. The remote controll is vey handy and includes two timer settings which turn the lights on/off, with a 6 hour or 12 hour option. These lights are 120 volt AC, with a transformer that reduces the voltage, and the cost of operation. I found the length of wire between the 120 VAC plug and the transformer to be too long since the length of power wire between the transformer and the lights is also long. I just coiled up the extra wire with a plastic wire tie and attached the two bundles to the transformer that is under my deck, using a larger plastic wire tie. The 72' length didn't quite work out for my deck installation and fell short by about 15' in two areas. I'm unable to find the same exact size of the LED light with the same brightness from other manufactures, but I'm still searching. I really wish that the Minetom manufacturer offered shorter lengths of the same product (15', 25', or 30' would be a good option). I hope that this review helps. ... show more

    • Bright string lights however remote doesn’t work properly.
I was disappointed that the remote doesn’t work properly. I also think this should not be called a rope light but a string light.

These lights were exactly what I needed. They brighten up my covered deck at night. It has many different colors and patterns to set the mood. The light weight made them easy to hang.
