  • Best battery drill I've ever had - and I've had quite a few
I love everything about this drill. Gave my old Black and Decker to the thrift store. Set aside my Kobalt 24v beast for special needs. Gave my son his Hitachi back. My Makita from the late 80's was a great drill, but simple. I love: . Choose your battery - small and light or beastie. Lots of choices among the Milwaukee M12 lineup. All fit, and on Amazon they're not too pricey. . Keyless drill chuck - works like a charm . 3-function selector: screw driver, drill, hammer drill. . 2-speed-range selector: low (screws) and high (drilling) . Work illumination light - stays on briefly after you release trigger, so you can tap trigger to light it up, then find the screw and begin driving. . Battery life indicator . Shares batteries / charger with my M12 Hackzall and 6" pruning saw. All quality tools. ... show more

  • Love the M12 line!
This is a great drill! I bought an M12 impact driver a couple of years ago and was amazed at how well it performed for such a small, comfortable tool, so when I recently needed to attach the bottom plate of a wall to a concrete floor, I decided to buy the M12 hammer drill. I've been thrilled with it as well. It easily drilled the holes I needed for Tapcon screws (which I then drove with the M12 impact driver), as well as a bunch of 5/8 holes in floor joists for running wire. It's compact size came in handy for this task as well - my full sized drill with a spade bit doesn't quite fit between the joists, but the M12 with the same bit fits with room to spare! I'm now thinking about the M12 multi-tool! ... show more

  • Great drill and driver, hammer drill good for occasional use
Work great, what's not to like. I just wish I would have purchased this before I purchased the separate drill and driver. It has three modes, drill, driver and hammer drill. The hammer drill is for occasional use, just not powerful enough, but perfect for my use.

  • sent the wrong drill very disappointed :(
milwaukee drill in their inventory... but if they don't have it in there inventory then they shouldn't sent the wrong item at all... if you don't have it then just simply call to your customer then tell them they are out of story. instead of waisting people's time for returning the item. i wouldn't consider their service again. not worth it.. ... show more

  • M12 line are great tools
I like the M12 line. I have a screwdriver and angle drill from this line. They are sturdy yet light enough for a do-it yourselfer's weekend projects. Standing on an ladder with a full tool belt, you appreciate a little less weight and a couple of extra batteries onboard to save trips. I purchased the Hammer Drill to sink concrete screws into cement block for a basement project. It works reliable and efficiently. The batteries interchange between devices so I could use the batteries from the other devices with the hammer drill. The battery packs recharge rapidly (30 minutes for a full charge) with the standard M12 charge. I found I could drill a dozen holes into the block on one charge. For the size, I think this is a reasonable charge life. I subsequently used this hammer drill to bore through the basement blocks to pass wiring to two exterior outlets. With a fully charged battery, the 3/8 concrete bit bore through the blocks rapidly without any binding. The drill can be switched to standard rotary drill and to a driver mode. Saves totting extra tools to the job. The clutch assures no stripped or over sunk screws. I have not had a drill pull out of the jaws if you chuck it firmly. ... show more

  • Great power and price. Smaller size for ladies
This is a great combo drill for a person with small hands. Its very powerful. Get the small and large battery for different jobs. I am the Ms. Fixit for houshold repairs, and do a little cabinetry and finish work as well. Its my second one. The first one grew legs and walked away. More important, I had my first one for 3 yrs, built a deck, and fence with it. It never burned up, which I cant say about other brands at this price point. ... show more

  • Great impact drill
A great hammer drill. It's compact but powerful. Milwaukee is a little bit more expensive than other brands but is totally worth it. I like the battery meter on the tool. The trigger is very sensitive and it gives you full control from extra slow to full speed. There are 3 settings on the drill for hammering, screw driving and drilling. You don't really need an impact driver if you have this hammer drill. ... show more

  • Good power, works flawlessly
Extremely well made. I have the majority of all the professional construction tools from Milwaukie as a working contractor. This tool does not have the same power or speed as the full size Milwaukie but works for the vast majority of all my jobs. These are professional tools that will last many years. I still have my first Milwaukie drill from 2008 and it still works strong. ... show more
