We purchased this Sun Shade to go on our Patio mainly in the summer. It is very similar to other shades we have purchased in the past for other purposes, but this one can be used on an RV, Patio or even on a Green House if need be. It is a good thickness to prevent heavy sun rays coming through. It has grommets at one end that can be used for mounting or holding to the ground with the supplied stakes, just depends on how you want to use it. The other end has a solid round rubber tube that is about 1/4" in diameter that travels the entire length, this helps to keep the shade more rigid and can be used along the line of your RV awning. Mine did not come with directions on exactly how to mount it an RV awning, but I do not believer this would be difficult. ... show more

Creates shade on a sunny day and a wind barrier otherwise! Great materials, grommets, tie downs and will fit most standard C-Channel side walls for attaching to RV. Could be gifted to anyone needing additional shade!

I like the concept of this, the ability to be able to add a shade to an awning. It is simple in principle and the effect would be great. So, I ordered it. Here is what I found: 1. This only works with shades that have a open track down the tube. So, if your awning is extend and you look up, you will see a slot running the distance of the tube. Well, I you have an Airstream trailer with a Zip Dee awning, guess what, no such track exists!!!! 2. Without the track, there is no way to install this item. So, it is just a useless bunch of material. ENSURE that you have that track in your awning BEFORE you order!!!! ... show more
