I read rating comparison that put this model above the others, so I bought one for myself and another for my son, I liked that it would work well on any surface but very very disappointed as it was more expensive than other brands, very hard to pour without making a big mess on counter, it has too small of a spout and not extended enough away from body it seems and leaks at seal. This isn’t my first espresso maker like this, I’ve tried two others in the last few years. They are nice when I have the time to really take my time and make a nice espresso the way I like it. Though it is definitely a longer process. It also comes in handy if your power goes out and on camping trips. And you can also use it for tea as well. Now if I’m being honest this isn’t my favorite of the now 3 I have, in fact it’s the one I like the least. That’s mainly for two reasons. The first is obviously since it goes on my gas stove it’s hot when you take it off. Which there is a handle so that shouldn’t be an issue right? Wrong. The way the handle is designed makes it really difficult to hold it when it’s hot because the opening is so close to ghe metal. I have to be very cautious when I am handling this. And the other issue is that it leaks when pouring no matter how well I put the lid on. All in all if I’m being honest I would probably go with a different one. It is inexpensive, but so are most of the others out there and they have a better thought out design . ... show more

You’d think something so simple would be easy? Apparently not. This one leaks, percolates oddly and the angle of the handle isn’t right. I’m on my fifth attempt and have disliked every one. Just buy the Bialetti. There is a reason it has been around for decades.

Nice little pot but be careful and use something to pick it up with. It gets very hot. Makes a cup in quick time. I got the stainless instead of black because I was concerned about the finish scratching with use.

The appearance matches the description and the finish is high quality, with no gaps or unevenness in the black powdercoat. This works well as far as producing good coffee as expected so I am going to note a few tangential issues. One, it is pretty easy to clean- even though it needs to be done by hand it's not hard to get it cleaned up effectively. Two, the handle gets hot! So on top of needing to be cautious about handling the top and bottom parts themselves, you also need to watch for the handle, which is also small, so you are likely to touch the main body of the pot if you loop a finger or two in the handle. Three, twisting the top portion on takes a smidge more force than it would seem at first so the first time I used it, it leaked some liquid before I adjusted it. Bottom line though, this works! So if you like using a moka pot, if the capacity suits your purposes, this is a good option- just be extra careful about preventing burns. ... show more
