This collar is awesome. I initially bought it because I loved the concept of leather mixed with a metal chain. It's a very classy and stylish look. Plus it's an extremely well built product. I bought this in May of 2019 and it still looks almost new. We've been on roadtrips, countless hikes, camping trips, mountain bike rides and kayak adventures (yeah I trained my dog to sit on the kayak and it's as awesome as it sounds haha.) These days I don't really clip a leash to it all too often. Maybe if I'm just taking the dog out late at night or early before work just for a quick walk. But on nearly every walk I use a harness. Whether it be a normal walking harness, a life jacket harness or a backpacking harness with pockets to carry items. Most of the time it just lives on his neck and if I need to take control of him by hand for whatever reason, just grab the collar. It seriously looks almost brand new. The leather has worn in very nicely and for $20 I'm shocked at how well it still functions and looks. The only thing is a couple months ago, the leather strap that holds the excess strap length in place broke off. It still doesn't flop around much without it so I haven't even replaced it yet. Was looking around at other dog products and came across this collar. Which reminded me to check just how long ago I bought it. Outside of that leather strap breaking, I haven't even really thought about this collar in ages. Which given it's purpose is a very very good thing. It does it's job with no fuss. My dog also loves it. If I take it off he always stares at it and wants to smell it. Almost like he's sad and wants his chain back lol. Really this is one of the best buys you could ever make. It's really hard to find anything of quality for $20 anymore and this item nails it. Kudos Might Paw. I may have to check into other products in your lineup.

My dogs had the nasty habit of tugging on their leashes during walks. This collar put a stop to that rather quickly. The other added benefit is that my bigger dog used to almost drag her dog-house around while being leashed to her dog house, but now she barely tugs at all. Dog walks are such a breeze now! The longevity is also very nice too. Real leather and chain. I've had these collars on my dogs for almost a year now and they're good as new. I have recommended these to my friends and they like the collars too.

I'll be honest. I bought this knowing that the leather on it would be junk. I was wrong! I was looking for a Martingale style collar to start using instead of my prong collar. I build custom leather dog collars and had just planned on deconstructing this and using a better grade leather. I was floored at the quality leather used to make this. Very usable right out of the package and durable (It is being used on a 70 lb American Bulldog/Pit mix) Highly recommended!
