I took this to Hawaii. It was easy to check-in or carry-on (we did both). It takes less than a minute getting my child situated in the mi-fold when we would call for an Uber. It's just as easy to take out when your ride ends. You should practice a bit on how to fold and unfold before taking this on a trip, it's easy but a little practice is still required. This seems like a safe and sturdy product that will protect my child if a car accident were to happen (hopefully we never need to face that kind of situation). Most rideshare companies either charge for a car seat or simply do not provide one. As we were traveling with our 3 year old we needed something that we could easily carry around and also feel comfortable that she will be safe when in the car. We found this car seat to be the best compromise. It's light (ish), small (ish) and safe (ish). Would it replace our main car seat - No! But is it good enough to be used when on vacation - Yes. One final note. Our 3-year-old is tall (95%) and only just meets the minimum size for this seat. If others are considering buying then please think of this as 4+ year seat. I have seen some parents use cushions to boost the child in the seat - this is not recommended and in fact quite dangerous. ... show more

We've taken this seat on multiple flights, including internationally, and it folds up perfectly to fit in the overhead bin. Our kid loves the adjustability because we can fit it to his body just about perfectly with all the fine tuning it allows. This is exactly what every travelling parent is looking for if you kid is between a 5 point harness and a regular booster. This car seat is specifically designed for those kiddos who are in high back boosters. We needed something lightweight and easy to pop into and out of Ubers and share rides but also carry with us as we do touristy things during the day. It is very easy to fold up with just a few clicks, and unfolds in about 3 seconds. Travelling through airports was simple, as it folds up and can be carried around the neck like a cross strap, or strapped to the handle of a rolling bag. We carried it with us through museums and into baseball games. It fits perfectly into the carry on compartment of an airplane. It should be noted that it is not designed as a car seat to use on an airplane, just a vehicle with a shoulder strap. I will say getting the seatbelt through the belt strap guide is difficult, but once you get it in, it's easy. My 6 year old could easily buckle and unbuckle herself. I would absolutely recommend for any travelling family that needs a high back booster. ... show more

Where has this been?! A must! Grows with your kiddo, light weight, lean, and fits perfect in any seat you place it! Safety is more important then comfort for me. My kiddos aren’t in the seat for long periods of time and by long periods of time I mean 5+ hrs. We have done 2-4hours and my kiddos have responded well. I had someone mention they didn’t really like how “up right” it was but again, in my opinion this is the proper seating position for safety.It’s constantly being shrieked and widened as my kiddos are 4 and 6. They fight for this seat because in a sense they think they are “official” considered big kids. When I have needed the space, I just fold and place is the narrow foot area I have in front of them! Perfect for travel. I am a car seat tech and was a little skeptical. I wanted something easy to travel with and if I don’t feel good about my guy riding in a backless booster at home why should I be ok with it when traveling so I gave this a try. Super easy to use and install, kept the lap and shoulder belt correctly positioned. Just wish the seat had more cushion to it. If checking this for a flight I highly recommend buying a carrying case/cover for it. Overall great product and would recommend unless planning a long car trip, however if your kids are like mine you stop every two hours anyway. ... show more

We purchased this to use primarily in Ubers during travel for a 5 year old. It worked perfectly, the breakdown can be tricky but then you get the hang of it and the setup is easy. We used it recently in about 8 Uber trips in NYC and it worked well. I wouldn’t say I think this would be comfortable for long car rides though. ... show more

I bought this product because it is a highback, lightweight and could fit in a suitcase. It is all those things. It is just flimsier than I would hope for a car seat. It moves around lots with the kid, It bends forward often as the kids bends forward. I am concerned that this not very safe. I also have concerns for its longevity. It is so adjustable that I am not sure if I am getting the correct fit for my child. It would be great if it had clearer instructions on this matter. ... show more
