  • No go. I am 0 for 2.
Sight was inconsistent on where it projected the laser. Not accurate at all so it was worthless at sighting in a rifle. A replacement has been sent to me, hopefully it will work. Worst case it will make a good cat toy. Follow up: second unit received with the same issue. I’ve purchased this item in .223 with no problems but it seems like 7.62x39 has some serious QC issues. You have been warned. ... show more

  • Pretty much useless
Pretty much useless. First, I couldn't even close the bolt once the laser was chambered. I tried sighting using the laser to zero my scope in at 50 yds and shots weren't even on the 2'x3' paper. installing it multiple times produced widely varied results. None of which were close to actual zero. Returned the laser for refund. ... show more

  • Junk! UPDATED...
Did not work out of the package. Sticker was placed over the original part information...so, this was a pass through. Package had been opened. Product overall is crap! Stay away from this...! After searching for LR41 batteries, I finally had to order at Amazon. Replacing the batteries that were included in the package fixed the non-operational problem. I'm still giving this a single star for the bad batteries as well as the fact that there is no on-off switch. Too much hassle to take the batteries out for every use. Also, as stated in my original review, the item looks like it was used and repackaged. The part number and pricing information was covered by a tacky homemade label. My headline, "Junk!" and my closing line to "stay away" from this supplier remain... ... show more

  • Exactly as advertised.
Used it to sight in 3 rifles. Worked just fine. I sighted in at 40 yards so I had to wait until dusk to get the ambient light down enough to see the laser light at that distance but I've had to do that with all my other bore sights. Not a tool you use every day but it's good to have when you need it. ... show more

  • Amazing !!
Amazing little tool - can confirm rifle zero in your backyard without firing a round. Used it in my AR with a 7.62x39 build - let the bolt slide forward gently, check zero, pull back charging handle and toll ejects like normal round. Easily takes an hour off the time it takes to zero your rifle.

  • Bolt does not close all the way.
The product worked just fine, but the dimensions are off or something. I have a 7.62 x 39mm rifle, but the bolt does not close all the way. This makes the laser move all over the place so I can't trust that it is giving me an accurate boresight.

  • Perfect for Sighting In Your Freedom Dispenser
I purchased this bore sight to get the AR I built close and adjust from there. This product worked great and it only took a few rounds to get it spot on. I would recommend as the idea way to sight in your rifle. The packaging isn't good for long term storage after opening so I would recommend using a small plastic bag to keep it around. Comes with the batteries which can be dropped right in, screw on the cap and chamber it. From there adjust your reticle to where you want to be. Please note that if you are sighting in for 50 or 100 yards you will want the laser dot low as this bore sight is for a closer range. If you are curious about why this is I would recommend looking up ballistics information on google. ... show more

  • Works to a degree
I noticed that given the slight play these have sitting in the chamber, the exact location of the dot will vary depending on how it's sitting in there. However I did notice that no matter how I managed to change up how it was in there, it would always seem to project to the same spot so long as I had the bolt closed as far as it would go keeping the laser from moving. This just means the laser itself was calibrated to dead on to begin with. If you load it, then aim and stare down your sights while noting where the laser is projecting, you will see it move around if you start playing with the bolt a little bit allowing the extractor to contact it. I found myself trying to get the dot in line with my iron sights I just eyed out and never zeroed which defeats the purpose. ... show more
