Lid is warped & barrel of latch rests on box so we have 1/4" space from it closing from latch right off the bat. Then with warpage we have over 1/2'' space from tight close on both front corners. Two thicknesses of 1/4" gasket does not close this gap.

Product material is OK, however I had to drill out four rivets and reposition the lower part of the latch in order for it to close properly. Also had to do the same to one of the cable supports to allow the lid to open completely. Poor quality control.

    • Top is warped

Poorly packaged, packaging box damaged (some companies don't seem to realize the rough handling by carriers nowadays). But the real issue here is the top of the chest is warped on both ends. It is obviously not sturdy material.

I bought this product to mount on a trailer that holds a three phase 85 Kw. generator to store heavy 50 amp. cables and power adapters. The installation worked out as planned, leaving room for a second smaller chest containing other cable adapters and tools.

So, this is the quality control of a nearly $300 plastic box? I purchased this box mainly for the single hasp construction to secure deliveries at my home with the use of BOXLOCK: The First Smart Padlock to Protect Deliveries - Protect Packages from all Major U.S. Carriers Now I find out that if I use the hasp my box will be propped open nearly a 1/2" by the hasp. Now I have to figure out a way to fix a overpriced chunk of plastic ... show more

I can’t believe the manufacturer would sell you this product without fixing it or notifying the customer of the problem before purchasing it!!!!
