I bought this chair to replace my 23 year old office chair that finally just gave up. I needed a chair quickly and this one has a lot of good reviews so for the price how could I say no? You do not have to be Bob the Builder to assemble this chair in about 15 minutes and they even supply a very nice tool for the task. As I said, my old chair was very old and I didn't realize how little padding was left in the seat until I sat in this one. The seat and back are well padded and the arms are comfortable. The padding at the front of the seat (under my thighs) is a bit stiff at the moment, but I'm sure it will break in and get a little softer and this is why I gave it 4 stars on comfort. Also, my old chair was a high back and this is a mid back, but I will get used to that. The quality seems to be very good for the price. The only change I made was I swapped replacement casters (inline skate style) from my old chair to this one to roll better on my glass floor mat. ... show more

This chair is very comfortable. I am a 5'6'' woman. My husband is 6'1". The chair is a bit too small for him. I am very happy with it. I have a bad back, and I can sit on it all day without discomfort. It was easy to put together, just don't tighten the arms all the way before you put on the back.
