    • Meetings without headhphones
I am using this Microsoft Modern USB-C Speaker with a 2020 Macbook Pro in a remote work setup. I run Cisco WebEx for company meetings and chat on the Macbook and have this speaker-mic combo connected via USB-C to the Macbook. Audio is flawless and could not be more perfect for this use case. The microphone quality is also great. People listening to me say there is no echo or noise in my audio. Since this is wired up to the Macbook there is no wireless latency between the computer and the speaker. This setup works so well that I am able to stop using Airpods for meetings. I have seen other reviews complaining about the price of this speaker. This is a well-designed hardware solution and for me the asking price was worth it. If I had to make the choice over again I would buy this device again given how well it has worked out for my use case. I never write reviews for Amazon. But, I have recommended this speakerphone to many office colleagues so I figured I should add one here. I've had this for over a year. Works great for Zoom.     • One star off for the short USB cable...
Nice unit and works out of the box for Teams, but the USB cable is too short to connect to the back of my tower below my desk and wrap up around the back of my desk to a place I can reach. You will likely need a USB extension cable. Would be great for traveling with your laptop, though.

Works well on Windows 11, and I was amazed by how well it works on Linux (Ubuntu 22). The OS detected it without any issue and I use it for conference calls when working from home but also to listen to music. Great volume, sound quality and integrated buttons work very well. This mic / speaker works great! Easy set up no issues. Have been told my mic quality from other is good and my background noise (washer and dryer) was not heard so it must have some background cancelling noise ability built in.

It sounds great. I was surprised to see that it was very small. One thing I don't like is the cable which is too short. It didn't even reach a meter in length.
