Purchased to mount on the front hood of my F150 truck but the SWR readings on channel 1 & 40 were consistently above 3. Although the coil is on a 10” extension being below the vehicle’s roofline just doesn’t work. Replaced with a top loaded Firestick antenna and SWR readings dropped to 1.5 or less on both channels with no other changes to my setup. Its a good quality antenna but the coil needs to be above vehicles roofline in order to work properly. ... show more

This antenna is mirror mounted on my driver's side of a frieghtliner M108 roll back works well with my uniden bearcat 880 I tuned and checked antenna,ground ,and coax with an swr meter and volt meter if you do not do this will not work well there is a correct way to set it up seams to hold up to tree limb whacking it as well ... show more

These antennas are the best, been using then on all my trucks for the last ten years. Very easy to install and they are very flexible which is a huge plus. I get great reception and range. Can't best the Amazon price either. Used with a cobra 29 CB.
