The best tool for scoring sourdough! I had a scoring tool with a long handle that came with some banneton baskets that I found difficult to use. This one is much easier to use and create designs in the dough.

    • VERY SHARP
These are super thin so beware because they are very sharp. They work well but if your dough is sticky, make sure to serrate your tears. If you drag, the dough just sticks and makes a mess. Also if you can't figure out how to get the blade in, twist the wood in opposite directions.

This is a very pretty scoring tool for sourdough bread but I do wish it came with some sort of cover to hold the blade while you tighten it in place and loosen it to store.

I love the look of this bread lame! I gave it 3 stars because it loosens up easily so the blade moves when in use. Which is kind of a bummer. As long as you tighten it really well before each use it works fine! Also wish it had a case to keep the blade safe from harm!
